About this property
Deep Bay Landing—Walk to Town, Beach, & Trails
Classic Bowen Island home owned by a long-time local and boater. Just a 10 minute walk to Snug Cove, ferry, cafes, shops, galleries, and restaurants, a 5-minute walk to Pebbly Beach, and steps to Crippen Park trails. Sunny garden property with fruit trees, decks, lawn, and wood stove. Clean, simple, fully equipped 2-bedroom home with beautiful gardens and patios—ideal for couples, friends, or small families.
Your hostess, Saskia, will send check in information and she will be available and nearby should you need assistance with anything during your stay.
One of the strongest features of this home is its location in Deep Bay, a quiet neighbourhood that is highly walkable to many of the best things about Bowen Island—Snug Cove, the ferry, the Pier, restaurants, galleries, coffee shops, and amazing beaches and trail networks. You can walk straight off the ferry to the house in 10 minutes along a short cut trail affording stunning views at any time of the year of the North Shore Coastal mountain range, Howe Sound, barking sea lions, and the misty waters of the lagoon.
Highlights: • 5–8 minute walk to Snug Cove shops & cafés • Pebbly Beach (amazing for kids) & the the Snug Cove Marina and Pier very nearby • Nearby access to Crippen Park forest trails, including an off leash dog park in the meadow • Easy access — no car required. You can walk to/from the ferry along reasonably flat terrain in 10-15 minutes.
This house is an excellent option for guests arriving by foot from the ferry, who want a car-free vacation.
You will be booking the main house, including two bedrooms with queen beds. There are two wood decks equipped with patio furniture and a large garden area available for your exclusive use. A quiet single person lives in an adjoining suite on same level as the main house. There is plenty of parking on site.
Deep Bay Landing is a fuss-free space with everything you'll need to cook, sleep, and enjoy a relaxed vacation at a central, highly walkable spot. The house is clean, straightforward, and well-loved—a home rather than a staged vacation rental. Guests enjoy the larger portion of the home, including:
> Two bedrooms each with a queen bed and fresh cotton linens and towels. > A fully equipped kitchen, so feel free to pack your food and treat this home as your own. > A small, portable patio BBQ (take it to the beach, or cook on the back patio). > A cozy living room with a woodstove (for use during the off season). > Reliable high-speed WiFi. > Front and rear patios with patio furniture. > Partially fenced yard. > Ample off-street parking.
The house is perfect for: > Couples or friends wanting a convenient island escape near beaches and the cove > People who want a car-free vacation on Bowen > Small families who value space and location > Travellers who prioritize practicality over design/styling
Walking and bike friendly. 10 Minute walk to beach, lake, park and village of Snug Cove. The bus that meets the ferries also serves Deep Bay, so you can use it to get to and from the house with your luggage.
> Ideal for couples or small families seeking location, practicality, and good value — not designer finishes.
> This home is intentionally priced below higher-end, design-forward properties in the area to offer guests a more accessible Bowen option while maintaining comfort, cleanliness, and location.
> There is a quiet long-term resident who lives in a separate area of the house. Guests have privacy but we ask that all visitors are respectful and mindful of shared property boundaries.
