Perfect place to stay! Super cute and spacious place with everything needed for a stay. The views from the balcony are beautiful. Communication with host was easy and fast.
Our condo was amazing and would definitely book again. It was beautiful, clean, secluded. I only had one complaint; parking passes. For a 3 bedroom/3bath condo, we were issued 2 parking passes; needed 3. I understand reasoning, but provide additional safe parking information; out of town guests do not have that information.
We loved being in a building with fewer units. No fighting over parking or the elevator. This condo has so much room and nicely furnished. The ground and pool were immaculate. We will definately stay here again!
We had a great stay here. Our family of 8 all had sleeping space, with the sleeper sofa pulled out. Communication with the rent management company was smooth and easy, with almost all of it done via text. Only tips I would give future guests is the somewhat slow WiFi included in other reviews (streaming worked fine, but working on laptop was laggy), and be conservative with hot water….seemed to have a small water heater. But again, we had our whole family in here, and we are a little spoiled with hot water at home! The complex was very small, which was a positive because it was not overrun with people and was very quaint. Super easy access to beach. Also, most of the parking was underneath the building on ground level, but there is uncovered parking outside the building. We have a Sprinter van that requires 10 ft clearance, so you can park a vehicle like that outside the building in the lot. Would stay here again.
It was wonderful! Gorgeous beach. Condo was awesome. Roomy and the corner balcony was the best. Well stocked. So many restaurants within 10 minutes. Shelley’s Beach Rentals set up on the beach. We rented chairs with umbrellas. Everything about this vacation was perfect.
Definitely on our fave list.
Lovely place to stay with our family. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Multiple hoses to rinse the sand off. Parking was questionable- to be clear- you have 2 spots allocated to you, 1 under the condos and 1 out in the parking lot. Necessary to know because the regulars can get rude about it. Overall, would definitely stay here again.
I always enjoy the Marlin Key and Dolphin Key properties. There is lots of room for everyone and you can’t beat the convenience of the beach access. This is my first visit to this unit, but I have others to compare it to.
The unit itself can use some sprucing up. Lower cabinets and island in the kitchen need repair, as does the cabinet under the bar. There is mold/mildew from it being wet.
The sofa and ALL throw pillows in the unit need to be replaced. They smell and the sofa has a huge dip in it. The shower curtain in the front bathroom needs repair as well. It is hanging on by just 3 hooks.
Again, I always enjoy staying on the property, however, this unit could use some repair and a good deep cleaning.
The positives: the gated entry at Marlin Key was nice and the dedicated covered parking was much appreciated. The location was excellent, near everything. The negatives: we were surprised that there were no restrooms in the pool area. It was pretty inconvenient to go back to the unit from the beach if anyone needed to use the restroom during the day. We were also surprised that the boardwalk from the pool area to the beach pictured in the listing no longer exists. The extra walking in the sand with beach "stuff" was harder on the older folks in our party. The wifi was very unstable and dropped out completely for a couple of days making it impossible to get anything done on the internet. Finally, some of the decor had obviously been changed since the photos in the listing were posted. Newer photos should be posted to accurately show how the unit is furnished. For the reasons listed the best rating I would give Marlin Key 2G is 3 stars.

Good and Bad
Great location. Layout and size of condo is great. Loved the end unit balcony. Beds were comfortable. Condo was clean and kitchen was stocked well. FYI Coffee maker is filter drip coffee maker and not a pod coffee maker
Condo needs TLC. Front door was a nightmare to get in and out of. Lock did not work per directions. Took us two hours to get someone out there to help us get in. Then the door was very heavy and had to use force to get it open. Not easy for a group of senior citizens.
Veneer on kitchen and bathroom cabinets is coming off. Instead of repairing, some of it has been taped back on.
Locks on sliding doors to balcony didn’t work. This is a security issue.
Finally, no chairs were in bedrooms to sit on. Another item that is not senior/handicap friendly especially when you have knee/back issues.
One strange thing no mirrors in the bedrooms that people could use while someone else was using the one in bathroom.
