We traveled from Oklahoma to kayak the Buffalo River but ended up doing much more! We rode horses (at the recommended site in the guest information binder). We drove to Brandon (40 min.) and saw the show David. ( wonderful). The home was so well put together and very clean even spotless! I would say within fair driving distance to all of the activities offered in the are. We were very pleased with the home and also the ease of checking in and the kindness/helpfulness of our host JuliaA side note… a red headed woodpecker flew into the glass overlooking the deck area. It was stunned and we didn’t know if it would make it🥹. We got it some water, stroked it, then left it in a shady are of the deck. Before we knew it it was up and flying again It was touch and go there for awhile . The bird was beautiful
Going to see the wonderful story of David at Sight and Sound theater Branson!
Last day of our trip! A 2 hour fishing trip in Branson on Lake Tanycomo.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi! We’re Conrad and Julia—young professionals who live and work in Northwest Arkansas. We love to travel and make it a goal to take at least one international trip each year, but we’re just as passionate about creating meaningful experiences for travelers closer to home here in Arkansas.

Our love for hosting began when we started renting out our guest house, and it quickly grew into a dream of owning and sharing special places in areas we love. We purchased this chalet in 2025 after spending many trips hiking and exploring the beautiful Arkansas Ozarks and Buffalo River National Forest. It’s a place we return to often with our growing family, and we’re so happy to share it with others.

When we’re not traveling, you’ll find us hiking, kayaking, gardening, tending to our fruit trees, or caring for our goats back home. This chalet is part of our first adventure into the short-term rental world, and we’ve poured a lot of care into making it a relaxing, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed space—for both our family and yours. We hope you love our home away from home and this area of Arkansas as much as we do -- Welcome and enjoy!

Conrad & Julia
