Stayed with our family of 5 that included my 80 year old mom. She loved this house with all the historic detail. Good location with walking distance to Safeway and Dairy Queen, which the kids loved. Plus the easiest check out list we have had in awhile :)

Beautifully restored house! Great for our small group, can walk to everything along Rt 66,
Wish we had more time there. The house is great, clean, newer appliances, roomy, great beds, they really did a great job restoring this house.
We loved our stay at the Yellow House. We stayed over Christmas, and the house was decorated with a tree and lights and stockings and everything! House is within walking distance of all the Williams shops, restaurants and the train station. Highly recommended!

Great historic house in a convenient location!
Six of us (and one dog) spent a week here in Williams. This house was perfect - plenty of room for everyone to spread out and comfortable common areas when we were all together. The history of the house is quite interesting. The location is great - Safeway and DQ are right out the back door and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house is extremely well stocked - the best I've ever seen for a VRBO rental. The owner was very friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!
Great property. Home is beautifully decorated and filled with history in pictures, books and various beautifully displayes artifacts. Beds are comfy.. Host was fantastic and extremely willing to help with anything. Many welcoming touches throughout including refreshments in the fridge, tons of information about the local area and toiletries in the bathrooms.
I will definitely stay here again once I save up enough money. My only suggestion would be to add some fine gravel in the yard to cover the dirt. The yard is lovely but grass is very patchy and much dirt is exposed.. Our little white dogs were more beige or gray at the end of our stay.

A perfect Christmas in a perfect place!
This is such a lovely little home right in the middle of Williams...walking distance to everything. Steps to Safeway, DQ, and a short walk to dining and shopping. The house is beautifully decorated and was even decked for the Christmas holiday. It made our trip to the Polar Express perfect. There are two king beds with 3/4 baths, and a twin and loft upstairs. There is a queen with full en suite downstairs. In the great room is a beautiful dining table made from the home's old barnwood. It has a beautiful kitchen and large laundry room. TVs in all bedrooms and a beautiful fireplace in the great room. I have never seen a more organized or clean rental. The owners are kind and caring. We would go back in a heartbeat!

We rented this lovely historic home to treat our family/grandkids to ride the Polar Express. The house is centrally located to visit Route 66 and the shops in Williams. Safeway is conveniently located across the parking lot from the home. The house was clean and presented as it was described. I would just offer a couple of items to be aware of for future guests that I missed in the description. The home is heated by individual gas stoves in the bedrooms and main living area which was problematic with a 2 year old. The units are very hot to the touch and some of the rooms were quite cool due to not having central heat. The stairs were a challenge with young kids as well. We didn't think to bring a gate which would have been helpful. The beds were comfortable and the house was decorated beautifully for Christmas!
There were 4 of us on this trip and this house was absolutely amazing. We each had our own room with plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. The photos throughout the house are a really cool way to explore the history! We will definitely be renting from here again if we go to Williams!
Arrived pretty late, the directions for check in were clear and simple, the home was clean and ready for this tired group. The beds were great, I highly recommend
The house was better than expected with a ton of space and a downtown location. Well equipped kitchen, bathrooms & laundry room. Very comfortable stay.
The fireplaces were welcome on the cold nights. We really liked the historic pictures and memorabilia in the cabinet upstairs.
The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet place to stay. This was helpful after spending our days hiking and driving back and forth between area sights.
We wished we could have moved the lodging with us to our next stay in Sednona.
The kitchen had everything we needed including sharp knives (which we almost never find in rentals). There were fun games for the kids to play too.
Thanks for a great stay!
We went at a time that not having AC was okay, windows open and fans on. It was not very clean for the price. There was cobwebs all over ceiling fans, windows ect. The home is old and for a larger person the upstairs felt unsafe. It is not really a place for children. We did take our sons who were able to play across the street at the church. There was a basketball hoop there and we asked permission to play. A couple neighborhood boys stopped and played as well. Having the grocery store in walking distance was good. Personally wouldnt stay again but it was an experieince.
It was an amazing place, walking distance to down town where all the fun is , walking distance to safeway. The house was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. We plan to go again for sure
Not only is this a beautiful house but everything about the amenities, décor, and supplies was beyond expectation. This was one of the best VRBO experiences I have ever had and highly recommend the big yellow house to anyone traveling into Williams or the surrounding area.
This was my family's first time to the Grand Canyon/Williams and we could not have picked a better place to stay. It is perfectly located within Williams. The supermarket next door is perfect for whatever you need. A short walk outs you in the middle of the old Route 66, where all the restaurants and shops are located. We had a great time and look forward to using it again on our next trip to the area.

Our property manager Payce is here for you! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions and concerns that you may have about the home or the surrounding areas!
Why they chose this property
Payce is managing for the owners, Scott and Abby. Scott and Abby fell in love with and purchased the Historic Yellow House in December 2021. The Historic Yellow House was owned by the same family for 93 years! Before that, it served as the bunkhouse and supervisor's office for the Saginaw & Manistee Lumber Mill. The rich history of the home and the area are fascinating. The previous owner’s (The Moede’s) watched the beautiful property fall into disrepair, and decided they had to do something. They bought the home in 2012 and carefully dis-assembled the entire property saving everything historic they could. Re-claimed wood, original floors and amazing stonework still remain. Artifacts and photos abound in the home. Charm and comfort of a bygone era welcome guests. A perfect 'summer cottage' in a wonderful mountain community. Scott and Abby look forward to starting new family traditions and memories in the Yellow Hose and want to share this special home with others as well.
What makes this property unique
The home is historic but the creature comforts are all fully modern! 800 thread count sheets, quality beds, comfortable chairs and reading nooks, fantastic kitchen, bright clean laundry room, fireplaces, original art, good books, games, tvs, Wi-Fi, grill, patios, gardens, fruit trees, off-street parking and the most convenient location in the middle of everything.
