A light-filled, inviting holiday apartment with everything you need to feel at home... Approx. 90 square metres of living space, uniquely furnished, partly with antiques. An absolutely quiet location on a pedestrian-only street on the outskirts of the idyllic district of Oberlützingen on the Burgbrohl plateau (Rhineland-Palatinate, Ahrweiler district):

Surrounded by nature and situated directly along the hiking and walking trails of the Brohltal/Laacher See Volcano Park, Südstraße is located in a peaceful residential area on the edge of the small village. The “Himmel un Ääd” holiday rental, freshly renovated, draws its design inspiration from the colours of nature (Himmel = apples, Ääd = earth, potatoes) and its harmony with the region. At the same time, its colour scheme emphasises its connection to southern and Mediterranean regions.

Spacious, bright entryway with a coat rack and a small writing desk; large living/dining room in shades of beige and brown. The country-style living room is furnished with a sleeper sofa (160 x 200 cm), 2 armchairs, an extendable solid-wood dining table, a half-height cabinet, a sideboard with fine tableware, and 6 chairs (additional chairs in the kitchen). A 55-inch smart TV with satellite channels is perfect for film and TV nights. Board games and books provide plenty of entertainment. A cordless phone with free calls to German landlines is available to our guests.

The larger “Südtirol” bedroom is decorated in a soothing shade of green and features a double bed 180 cm wide, equipped with a comfortable mattress (with a topper), a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. The colourful “Burano” bedroom has two single beds, as well as a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A travel cot and high chair are available upon request. The apartment is equipped with a radio alarm clock, a CD player/radio, and a Bluetooth system. The apartment is ideal for 1–4 people; with an extra bed in the living room (see photo), it can accommodate up to 6 adults (=> double bed, double sofa bed, and 2 single beds, which can be pushed together upon request). A travel cot is available upon request for 1 baby or toddler (additional).

The balcony, furnished with a seating area, 2 small tables, and an electric grill, is accessible from both the kitchen and the living/dining room. Facing southwest, the view there overlooks the trees and gardens of the surrounding single-family homes. Due to the village’s elevation, you can see the rolling hills of the Volcano Park in the distance.

Bright, windowed bathroom with toilet, sink, cabinet, shower, and bathtub; basic amenities (shampoo, shower gel, bath foam, soap, toilet paper) provided. Separate guest bathroom. Towels and bed linens are provided.

Fully equipped built-in kitchen in café-style colours: dishwasher, oven, ceramic cooktop, and range hood (1 setting), microwave, electric kettle, mixer, hand blender, coffee maker (standard/filter and Nespresso capsules), toaster, basic food supplies (coffee, tea, cocoa, spices, oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, flour, a few canned goods, paper towels, kitchen roll), refrigerator, freezer, dining table in the kitchen (in addition to the dining room with 6 chairs) with 4 chairs.

Assigned parking space directly adjacent to the house at ground level. All rooms can be completely darkened (roller shutters). The apartment is located on the ground floor of a quiet four-family house, accessible via a spacious staircase, and is equipped with underfloor heating. Pets are allowed upon prior notice and for a fee; children are expressly welcome. Smoking is permitted only on the balcony or outside the house. Communication with the hosts is possible in several languages.
Climate-friendly heating.

All shops for daily needs and restaurants are located in the main town of Burgbrohl (3 minutes by car, down the hill) or Brohl-Lützing, as well as a wide selection in Bad Breisig am Rhein (10 minutes by car). Village bakery and butcher shop in the neighbouring town of Niederlützingen at the same elevation (Brohl-Lützing II—2 km). The Burgbrohl Art Pavilion is just 400 metres away (art in a rural setting, a meeting place offering courses—including summer camps for children—and events).

Lake Laach and the Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach are only 10 km away. Andernach is a 20-minute drive. Koblenz and Bonn are a 30-minute drive. Day trips to Olbrück Castle (currently under restoration), Eltz Castle
