Welcome to our 1950s beach cottage in Carolina Beach — a light, easygoing retreat just three blocks from the lively Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean. This single‑story home makes settling in effortless: park steps from the door, unload with ease, and slip right into vacation mode.

Inside, you’ll find a classic coastal getaway that’s safe, spotless, and comfortable, with plenty of hot water and refreshingly cold A/C. The cottage blends mid‑century charm with everyday comforts, thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials for a laid‑back stay.

Both bedrooms feature large, cozy king beds — one firm, one softer — so everyone can sleep just the way they like. There's a cozy den with two small beds, ideal for children who may be too little for the tall king beds. With a blackout shade and a small TV, it’s perfect for morning cartoons, a quiet afternoon nap, or winding down after a day in the sun.

Head left to Carolina Beach State Park for scenic trails and river‑view sunsets, or right to the beach for sunrise strolls, swims, and sandy toes. After a sun‑soaked day, rinse off in the hot/cold outdoor shower, then unwind on the shady front porch or sway beneath the canopy of a beautiful live oak in the spacious backyard.

We’ve made beach days simple: enjoy four cruiser bikes with locks, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a beach wagon ready for your use. Grill dinner at home or wander to nearby restaurants, amusements, and the Boardwalk — all just a short walk away.

Perfect for couples or small families (MAX OCCUPANCY 4), this classic cottage offers a relaxed Carolina Beach experience — a touch nostalgic, always comfortable, and just right for slowing down by the sea.

Please leave coverlets, quilts, and blankets on bed. Do not combine with wet towels . We will take these to a cleaner.
Make sure thermostat is set at 73 degrees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
PLEASE do not set heat above 74° or AC below 68 °. Put trash/recycling carts on the curb Monday evenings, if you are staying during this timeframe.
Do not pour grease down the drains. Do not flush any types of wipes, diapers or feminine hygiene products down the toilet (only toilet paper).
You are responsible for broken lamps, windows and glass; damaged doors, walls and furniture; stained bedding and linens, or lost keys.

We had such a great time in Wilmington and staying in this house was a huge part of that! The property is exactly how it is described and then some. It is only 3 blocks from the beach. There is a wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, a canopy, several sizes of ice chests, and beach towels available. I was so grateful, since we flew instead of drove this trip. The beds are very comfortable, extra fans are provided in every room, and it is just so cozy. I was excited to have extra toilet paper, tissue, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, coffee, laundry soap, trash bags, etc. provided. I am used to buying those things, so it was so nice and unexpected to have them. Our favorite part of our stay was the outdoor shower! It felt INCREDIBLE after spending time at the beach! I truly cannot say enough good things about this property. Lottie and David are wonderful hosts and I hope to stay here again some day.

Top 3 best stays we've ever had. They literally had everything you could possibly need for the stay. Beach chairs, tent, cooler, bikes, ect. We walked about 6min to the beach everyday, practically everything you need is within walking distance. Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Friendly Tip: if you need something from the store, go to the house first, because they probably have it Overall 10/10!!

This cozy cottage on Harper has the sweet spot figured out—close enough to all the fun that you can wander to the beach or boardwalk with an iced coffee in hand yet tucked just far enough away to keep things calm when you’re ready to unwind. That perfect balance is exactly why we fell for this place. One of our favorite pastimes is hanging out on the porch, watching beach‑bound adventurers stroll or pedal by like our own little neighborhood parade.

This place feels like the homes we grew up in : easygoing, welcoming, and wonderfully uncomplicated. Sure, the Wi‑Fi can handle anything you throw at it, but the house itself seems to whisper that you should go outside and enjoy the day. Come back when the streetlights start to glow.
