The place was amazing! My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights. The pictures of the beach right next to the house don’t do enough justice. You walk 20 feet out the door to a beach and wild horses. The neighbors are very friendly as well and will help with any questions you may have about the island. Christopher was an awesome host! I highly recommend.

I booked this stay and got to the house, the owner did not send the information to get inside. We reached out and no response. Vrbo also reached out and also no response. Totally ghosted us, great way to start a trip. Probably for the best, looking over the gate we could see the pool was green. We looked over the fence in the backyard and there was a washing machine in the backyard.

This property has SO much potential. It's in one of the most beautiful settings we've ever stayed in. We wanted so much to love it. I hope Christopher's response to this review will say that he's fully addressed these issues, and I hope future guests have the wonderful stay we should have experienced. But I'd advise you to ask for proof of fixes before booking.The enormous problems in this listing ruined a night and a half-day of our vacation. We were up until 2:30 am the night we arrived, sealing everything we brought into plastic bags, then left early after invoking VRBO's "customer protection."Problems:* German cockroach infestation, evidenced by piles of cockroach feces and wings in multiple cabinets.* Ant infestation in every room.* Plaster bagworms in the living room. * No traps or any visible attempt at extermination of the above.* Listing includes "air conditioning" but the only air conditioning is in the bedrooms.* Listing includes "smoke detector" but there is no smoke detector in the building.* Pool was green and cloudy. Host first told me it was discolored by the "Sahara sand"; later he told me he'd had the pool professionally tested and shocked and it was "absolutely safe." However, there were no chlorine tablets in the chlorinator (see photo) and, even if it had been shocked, a recently-shocked pool with cloudy water is not yet safe for swimming.
