We had a nice stay over Thanksgiving. This was an overflow house, and was mostly for sleeping/breakfast since our days were outside and dinners at the other house. It adequately fit our needs and was generally clean, except most corners had spider webs as well as screens.

Hi, Lisa, thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We are disappointed to hear that we dropped the ball this time, as this is not the high standard of guest satisfaction and cleanliness that we hold ourselves to. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager to address with our housekeeping team. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future!
We loved the place and the location. We especially liked the open layout, the deck, and the hot tub with views of the water and the stars at night. Hope to return!
Very cool, vintage sea ranch home; great access to trails and walk to beaches. Saw lots of wildlife and stars!

Cool home.
A really fun home in the classic Sea Ranch tradition. We had a wonderful stay there and would definitely come back and stay there again. The large window seat was a great place to start the day and watch the deer, rabbits and quail start their day.

Sea Ranch Get Away
We had such a lovely and cozy time there that we didn’t even want to leave for anything. The walks to the bluffs and around the neighborhood were beautiful.
My favorite part was resting on the window seats and reading my book. Such a treat!
We had a great time here. House was very comfortable for family of 4. Great open layout. Hot tube in the deck connecting to dining area which was tiled floor. Plenty of dishes and spices for cooking. Short walk to seaside walks. She sheep grazed nearby.
This house set the bar high for our first stay in sea ranch.
Everything about this place was 10/10.
Isolated from other houses, super clean hot tub and house, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, amazing views.
My only complaint is that we had to drive 20 mins round trip to pick up our parking pass. Not ideal for the price.

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We passed your comments along to our local manager to review and we appreciate guests’ preferences as a means to continually improve. We look forward to hosting your next stay!
Lovely serene setting with a spectacular view. Lots of space with easy access to the outdoors for long walks. The kitchen is quite functional but could use a new oven (current one doesn’t get hot enough) and toaster. The only other drawback is the neighbors are currently doing a major renovation on their house so the weekday noise can be quite loud and start early; hopefully this will become moot soon.
My family and I spent thanksgiving here this year and had a lovely time. The large windows and open floor plan create a serene, bright environment to relax and enjoy all the beautiful nature that surrounds the home. A couple things to note: Although the photos on the listing show the fireplace stocked with wood, there was none when we arrived an we were informed by the property manager that wood is not actually provided so plan accordingly if you would like to have a fire. Also, the cookware in the kitchen, although plentiful, felt a bit old and some pieces seemed to be in need of replacement. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet getaway at the coast with easy access to trails and town.

Great property, in need of a clean
We have stayed at several properties in Sea Ranch and this home captured the ethos of the place wonderfully. However, it was clear that areas had not been cleaned for weeks or months. We tried to let the management team know and they keep saying that bugs are common in rural settings. The bugs are not the problem, it is the spiderwebs, dead bugs and dust indicating that the home has not been cleaned that are the problem. With a small amount of cleaning the owners wonderful home would be perfect.

Thank you for your feedback, Chason. We understand that cleanliness is of utmost importance and we deeply regret that the home was not up to your expectations upon arrival. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide to our valued guests. Rest assured, we have taken your comments seriously and have addressed the matter with our cleaning crew to ensure this is an isolated incident. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.

Beautiful home in a beautiful place
Beautiful home in a beautiful place, mostly well-taken care of. Just a few things that could have made it better:
1. Cleaning could be a little more thorough--we opened some cabinets with meal-time items in them to find cobwebs, dust, dead bugs.
2. Fridge has Sea Ranch Housing Association rules posted on it--one of them asks blinds/curtains to be drawn at night if indoor house lights are on to protect the dark sky/stargazing opportunities for neighbors. However, 90% of the windows on this house don't have any blinds/curtains at all--making compliance with this rule basically impossible.
3. A house is currently being constructed immediately next door (Aug 2024) so good luck sleeping in on the weekdays at this place.

Hi Mitchell,
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the beauty of the home and its surroundings. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cleaning and have already discussed with our housekeeping staff the importance of a more thorough clean. As we enter the slower season, we will look into scheduling a deep clean as well.
Regarding the blinds, we encourage guests to close any available blinds to help comply with the Sea Ranch Housing Association rules. We will also pass along your feedback to the owner for future consideration.
We appreciate your insights and hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future!
Very relaxing time. Hiking, swimming, and a jacuzzi to end the day.

Stay at 38229 Green Vale, Sea Ranch CA
The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean which is our first priority in enjoying a rental. The house was nicely laid out. Here are the things we think you should consider regarding our stay and the stay of future guests:
1. The master bedroom sliding glass door and second bedroom window were not locked when we arrived.
2. Regarding the kitchen:
- There was only one extra garbage liner for the kitchen garbage
- We would have liked to have had a new kitchen sponge rather than what appeared to have been a used one
- There was no kitchen dish rag
- There was only one kitchen drying towel which was not absorbent and basically just spread the water around
- The coffee pot was filthy and we had to clean it before use
- The stove top glass cleaner bottle was empty
3. There were no Kleenex boxes in the house
4. Many of the lights in the house were either burnt out or did not work
5. The beds were hard and uncomfortable
6. Many of the window screens were in disrepair
7. There were a lot of cobwebs in the windows and screens
Please don't take my comments as a scathing review. They are just observations which may be helpful to you. In fact we enjoyed our stay and would rent this same dwelling again. It was a very cool house.
I hope this helped.
Regards,
Tim

Great location
Overall nice location and property, accurate to pictures and plenty of towels, detergents, toiletries stocked.
This was our first time staying in Sea Ranch and we couldn't have picked a better place. The property management company was so well organized the entire check in, communication during our stay and check out process was effortless. The home itself can easily support 6 guests, with large bedrooms and common areas. It felt like a classic Sea Ranch home, which some might say is dated. But it was fully equipped, everything worked perfectly (including the newish appliances) and it felt warm and comfortable. Also, sitting in a warm hot tub looking at the vast sky filled with stars was amazing.
With staying at a Sea Ranch property, make sure you read up on the privileges, including access to some private hiking trails. If you need a second parking permit, make sure to ask for that as well. Also, stores and restaurants in nearby Gualala close early. So, meal planning is a must.
This was our first trip to Sea Ranch and we will definitely be back! We loved this house with the beautiful views, large windows, great hot tub, and well stocked kitchen! Our 12 month old loved exploring the house and we definitely had to do some light baby proofing along the way! Overall it was a great house for him— we brought along our own baby gate for the stairs up to the loft which was helpful.
It was stunning! We liked that it was at the end of a cul-de-sac, so it was very private and quiet. As soon as we stepped inside we felt ourselves let go and relax. The layout is modern and open and very inviting. The master bedroom is spacious with a tub for two and a 2 sink bathroom with nice shower. The other bedroom, at the other end of the house was small, but our friend enjoyed it. There was a sweet loft upstairs with a double bed. The kitchen was great with everything you need and a lovely sun porch for eating. The hot tub was fabulous!
Lovely clean and open house - well-equipped light and airy and comfy. Views across the landscape to the sea. Located about mid way along the Sea Ranch property and about 5 mins walk to the coast path. Good books and games make this all-around a great place to stay.
We love Sea Ranch and this is the 4th property we have rented in the area. I think it says everything that we would happily rent it again.
It is a remarkable setting that has neighbors but feels as if it doesn’t. In the morning, we sat on the patio to have our coffee and enjoy the unobstructed views of the ocean and a lush meadow. Tiny fawns wandering by to graze and song sparrows flitted about, greeting the day. At night we would wander down to the coastal trail to see the sun set and then wander back for a soak. The stars from the hot tub were dazzling, and we spent longer than is probably prudent soaking under a sparkling sky.
The house is modern, light, and furnished with comfortable places to share a long meal, or cozy up with a book. (The space would work best for either two couples or a family.)
Two minor things would make a wonderful place even better, (1) Adirondack chairs to comfortably sit for hours, bought used they can be affordable, and (2) extra linen, there is tons of extra bedding - more than anyone could use - filling storage that we would have otherwise used.
Last a shout out to the properties management. When we arrived there wasn’t any dish towels or a dish rack, and there was only one set of keys. It was fairly late but our manager drove to town purchased both and left them in a bag on our porch, and an extra key in the lock box. Thank you.
