Lovely place. Very close to Lassen Volcanic, which was very helpful. My kids really enjoyed the bubbles and chalk they left for them. Very responsive hosts.
Home was very clean with minimal clutter. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and store our things. Area was quiet. We did experience a PG&E power outage, which was not the owners fault. I’d recommend having a propane camping stove for cooking food and more wood for the wood stove in the event of a future power outage. There was a battery pack to keep fridge running for a short period.

Thanks for the great information!! There is a stove burner on the bbq. I will look into what is safe for indoor cooking for the future.
From what I’m reading it has to be a butane cook stove..
And we will supply more wood.
Thanks for being so understanding about the power outage..
Our stay was just what we hoped - perfect in every way! Leslieann is an exceptional host and gave us helpful tips and showed us parts of what makes Mineral so special! We were a party of 9 (5 adults, 4 kids) and everything was comfortable. The towel supply was much appreciated. The house is as described, kitchen well equipped for everyday cooking and I must comment that the pull-out sleeper sofa is the most comfortable I have ever slept on!
Great place to stay if you want to visit Lassen national park. The house was warm and cozy and was also well supplied. Lesliann was easy to communicate with and was very helpful. Location is good for those who want to see stars! You get amazing views. You’re 30min away from Chester and about 20mins from Lassen. We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful! Our dog also loved the place and got to explore.
Homey place to stay while exploring Lassen for the long weekend. The loft area had plenty of beds that was perfect for older kids. Plenty of amenities & supplies for cooking and building a fire, plus games and reading materials to keep entertained. Great communication with the host. Our biggest complaint was that the property listing showed that it was an 18 min walk from King's Creek Falls and the lava beds. We didn't do my research before booking the property and were surprised when the falls were a 40-50 min drive away and the lava beds over 2 hours away. When I asked the host, she told me that the nearby attractions are added automatically based on the location of the property. Next time we'll do our research beforehand instead of taking it at face value.Price was pretty high, but there weren't many other options in the area.
We had a nice stay. The place is very rustic, though, and seems like it hasn't been updated in a long time. The cost is also pretty steep. That said, it's one of the only cabins near Lassen National Park. The host was wonderful - very communicative and welcoming.
