Super Seaside Stay
Located steps from a small beach, the location is fantastic. The rooftop terrace allows 360 degree views. An umbrella offers cover from the sun but can't be used when windy which was the condition much of the first week of our stay. When calm, the water is perfect: clean and clear. Another, larger beach nearby is fantastic as it very gradually gets deeper making it great for kids. Both are Blue Flag (Bandiera Blu) beaches so are cleaned daily through the summer season. The neighbors who come regularly to this beach are delightful. Restaurants, grocery store and gelati within easy walking distance. Many wonderful places to visit on day trips: Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Lecce, Taranto, Matera, etc.
The apartment has lovely decorations and is well-provisioned. Everything we needed was there. Balconies offer views of the sea. Though the place is said to sleep 4 people the extra beds are not adequate for adults: poor quality, single size mattresses and very squeaky springs. There are 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower so all 4 people shared it. (The bathroom with the shower is located up a small set of stairs in the kitchen. Which I could post a picture to show this.) The washing machine is nearly useless: it's old, small and doesn't clean items. This was a problem as we stayed there for four weeks.
