This spot was perfect for our family for vacation. The villa is so sweet and has everything you need. The outside dining areas were lovely and the lights really made it magical at night. We loved walking into town for dinners and after-dinner gelatos! Such a cute area and so much to see and do withinan hour or two drive. Thank you for a wonderful time and thank you for welcoming us into your home!

We loved our stay at Angelita's place. It was a great getaway with a regional feel yet still close to everything you'd want from your holiday in a small town in Puglia. Cisternino is amazing in our view and definitely worth a stay!
We loved staying in this beautiful villa in Cisternino. Angelita, the host, was super friendly, giving us loads of helpful advice on what to do and see in the area. We also had an amazing cooking lesson in our villa, I would definitely recommend it!

This was the place we were looking for. Charming and rustic country home. We gathered food at the local butcher and bakery and dined in the garden each night. Close to the historic Valle de itria villages. And we loved spending time in Cisternino for a real feel of an Italian village.
Angela and her family are lovely and attentive and

Lovely home and property
We loved staying in this home and the hostesses were very generous with their time. Not only did they provide food for weary travelers but came back the next day to provide a delicious lunch of pasta and meatballs. We enjoyed traveling along the coast one day and then took a trip to Matera. We loved all the fruit trees. It was the Perfect place for us to relax before we headed to Bari for a cruise. Thank you!
Excellent location both with regard to the local surrounding and the wider Puglia-area with relatively short driving distances to places of interest.
The owner/hostess was extremely helpful to fulfill our small wishes during our stay. Also active in recommending restaurants and places to see and visit.
The wifi network worked well both inside and outside the villa. The garden area is large and could do well with a thorough cleaning now that the leaves are falling off the treas.

Is perfectly located to explore a wide area of Puglia.

The photos of Angelita's home and the general information about the very charming and welcoming town of Cisternino do not do justice to this vacation rental! My husband and I and our two friends loved it! Overall, there is a serenity and a sense of place at Casa Cecca that is timeless. The high ceilings and cool tiled floors make it a perfect summertime outdoor/indoor space. The eat in kitchen is compact, yet workable, although a microwave would be a welcome addition to the stove top and toaster oven. There is only one washroom, but it is beautifully remodelled and has a luxurious rainhead shower. During the day and on fine evenings the long wooden table under a pergola in the backyard is perfect for apero and alfresco meals. There are plenty of chairs and loungers! The jacuzzi was not much in use as our mid to late September days were cooler and we were routinely touring all the notable "white cities" as well as nearby beach and historic towns. We travelled to Ostuni, Alborobella, Locotorondo, Bari, Porto Caesarea, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Lecce, and Matera. Phenomenal day trips, great food, and history lessons, galore! Staying in the area of those special structures, the Trulli, was a daily delight!Angelita was a very caring and responsive host, and always addressed any concerns or requests that we expressed. Overall, we had great Apulian wine and food experiences, met lovely locals, and enjoyed being a short uphill walk from our comfortable home to Cisternino.

A very nice cottage at the edge of Cisternino.
A very clean and welcoming cottage with an enormous garden which in Scottish terms would be a croft. The house is a 3 minutes walk up hill to the Centro Storico in beautiful Cisternino. The owner Angelita was very helpful and friendly, suggesting top eating spots, places of interest and help in getting a taxi for a night out in Martina Franca when we left the car. Her mother very kindly dropped some polpette over to the cottage which were delicious. This was a great place stay in a beautiful part of Puglia.

comfortable home near town
We had a lovely stay in Angelita's house. It is a ten minute (uphill) walk into Cisternino, which has a beautiful old town centred around the Piazza. The kitchen was well appointed and there is a basic barbecue in the garden which we used on a couple of occasions. This is the type of barbecue which actually requires lighting a fire and this seems to be the done thing here as at around 7.30pm there smoke everywhere.
The backyard has a number of fruit trees and as such my wife enjoyed fresh figs with her breakfast every day.
Angelita's Mum, Maria came around one day and taught us how to make Orecchiette from scratch, which was a delight.
In town, the locals all hit the streets at about 6.30pm and from 8pm it gets quite busy. We tried one of the Carne al Fornelli (barbecuing butchers) and it was a fun experience.

Beautiful home - Exceptional town - Wonderful host
My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic stay here. This beautiful family villa offers space, privacy, authenticity and luxury. The historic home, front drive and terrace are clean, airy, and secluded. It is decorated in the highest taste, with all the necessary facilities and amenities. The expansive grounds and driveway abound with pretty pathways, fruit trees and grapevines, and the large jacuzzi and seating make for a luxurious and peaceful resting space. The old town centre is a mere 5-10mins walk away.
Angelita is a wonderful host who is generous, quick to respond and full of excellent recommendations about the local area and region. Getting to know her was a pleasure: the cooking lesson with her mum, and the tour we joined Angelita on at the local olive grove, were highlights of the trip.
Cisternino itself is one of the prettiest towns in the region. Brilliantly located, and full of excellent bars and eateries, it has commanding views of the valley and is (somehow) slightly overlooked by tourists.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely home, gracious owner
The rental was as expected and the owner was even more gracious than expected. Angelita arranged for us to attend a fascinating tour of an olive oil production facility and provided delicious breakfast items (I think her mother made the large fruit pastry). The house is quiet and close enough to walk into the old town for dinner. Cisternino is well positioned to easily visit other parts of Puglia. A minor suggestion is to improve the lighting in the house.

Thank you for your suggestion, we will certanly add some accent lights and it will be a great pleasure having you again as guests, whenever you will decide to come back to Puglia.
