This reservation got off on the wrong foot when guest was not allowed to check in early. They were not happy. For future guests, early check-in is offered whenever our cleaning schedule allows, but it cannot be confirmed until the day of arrival, and is not guaranteed. We offered the option to reserve the previous night at a highly discounted rate for guaranteed early access, but that option was declined. The power outage was caused by the local utility company and affected neighboring properties as well. Service was restored in less than one hour, and we have records confirming the restoration time. While this was beyond our control, we understand that any interruption can be inconvenient. The refund request was not ignored. We responded to messages, and the refund was processed immediately. We have documentation confirming the refund was completed, long before this negative review. Our cabin is professionally cleaned and we promptly address any concerns that arise. The concerns regarding ants and the shower were first brought to our attention in this review. Had we known during your stay, we would have gladly investigated and addressed them promptly.
