The Space:

Perched on a quiet hillside in the Berkshires, this beautifully restored lodge offers sweeping, unobstructed mountain views that stretch nearly 40 miles across the landscape. Originally built in 1940 as a hunting retreat, the home was thoughtfully expanded and completely renovated in 2020, blending historic character with modern comfort and design.



The home features two spacious primary bedrooms, each with a king bed and private en suite bathroom. One primary bath is a striking 10' x 10' marble wet room with a Toto automatic toilet, oversized single sink, and a generous 5' x 5' shower area, illuminated by two ceiling sky tunnels. The second primary bath is a 7.5' x 7.5' marble wet room set within a dramatic two-story tower, complete with an oversized sink and shower. A third full bathroom includes a full-size bathtub, toilet, and sink with distinctive wood-paneled walls and also functions as a powder room.



The open kitchen combines style and function with soapstone countertops and backsplash, a four-burner gas stove with full-size oven, stainless steel hood, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and two sinks for prep and cleanup. A raised eat-at counter provides additional seating, while the nearby dining area features a glass and granite dining table for six beneath vaulted ceilings. French doors lead directly to the outdoor deck, creating an easy flow for entertaining.



Two separate living rooms offer inviting spaces to relax. One sits just off the kitchen and features soaring cathedral ceilings, exposed timbers, dramatic two-story Palladian windows framing the mountain view, and French doors opening to the deck. The second living room includes pine-paneled walls, exposed beams, cathedral ceilings, multiple skylights, and a stone raised-hearth fireplace that adds warmth and character.



A separate home office with vaulted ceilings provides a comfortable workspace. Throughout the home, wide yellow pine floors are accented by area rugs and Asian runners, while heated bluestone and tile floors add comfort in the foyer, tower, and bathrooms.



Outdoor spaces are just as memorable. The property sits on approximately 1½ acres with landscaped gardens, lawn areas, and a fire pit perfect for evenings under the stars. A large outdoor shower faces the sweeping mountain view, and the deck includes a propane grill for outdoor dining.

Your rental includes an accidental reported damage waiver fee up to a maximum of $800. The cost to repair any accidental and reported damage to the rented property including any missing or broken items up to a maximum of $800 will be covered at no charge to you as long the damage is reported to your Host before you depart. Damage related to pets is not covered un the waiver.
