The houseboat “Oma Ella” was completed in the fall of 2021 and has been available for rent to holidaymakers ever since. The houseboat is moored at the outer dock of the “Boat and Living” yacht yard, offering an unobstructed view of the harbour entrance to Heiligenhafen and the Graswarder Nature Reserve. “Oma Ella” offers approximately 50 m² of living space for 4 guests, including 2 bedrooms with double beds, a separate bathroom with shower and toilet, and a large living area with a fully equipped kitchenette. The spacious sun deck is perfect for relaxing.

The houseboat “Oma Ella” is moored at the outer dock of the Boat and Living shipyard harbour in Heiligenhafen Ortmühle. There is virtually no public traffic in the shipyard harbour, so the mooring is very quiet. From the houseboat, you can go for a swim using a swim ladder or try stand-up paddleboarding. You can fish from the sun deck, rent a small pleasure boat at the shipyard, or simply sip a cocktail on the sun deck, enjoy your breakfast while admiring the yachts and excursion steamers coming and going, and use binoculars to watch the birdlife on Graswarder or the migration of grey geese flying directly over the houseboat. The beach for the “locals” is 200 m away, and the Heiligenhafen beach by the pier is a 2-km walk. There are several bike rental companies in Heiligenhafen. The surrounding area, as well as Fehmarn, is very easy to explore via a well-developed network of bike paths.

Heiligenhafen Ortmühle is a very quiet area; you’ll always find a parking spot for your car nearby. If you don’t plan to use your car during your entire stay, you can also park it on our private property, 500 m away. Several large supermarket chains (Aldi, Lidl, Rewe, Getränkemarkt Hoffmann, Famila, Fleggard Grenzhandel, Calle Grenzhandel) are within 800 m. Of course, there are also various pharmacies and doctors’ offices as well as other shopping options in the city centre area.
