Black Dog Cabins "Paws and Unwind" Cabin is your home away from home. We are 1/2 mile South of Rend Lake and the nearest boat ramp. This beautifully decorated cabin features 2 bedrooms with queen beds, perfect for a cozy and restful stay. Guests enjoy a spacious bathroom with a refreshing shower, plenty of linens, hand soap provided. The space stays comfortable year-round with heating and AC and a beautiful electric fireplace, making it easy to relax no matter the season. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or simply enjoying quiet moments indoors, this gorgeous cabin offers a welcoming retreat. The outdoor space has a firepit with chairs, a charcoal grill and a picnic table with umbrella. We have plenty of room for boat parking, and there is even a General Store on the property. Cute little cabin! Looks and smells brand new, it was perfect for our little family. Just beware it is on the side of a busier road something to keep in mind with kids and/or dogs.

The property is adorable! Every detail has been curated. It is clean, and a comfortable place to stay. The location is close to Rend Lake, making it perfect for those who want to spend time outdoors. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience at the Paws and Relax Cabin! My husband and I found ourselves with a few free days amidst a busy season of life and decided to look for a last-minute, pet-friendly place to step away for a bit. These cabins are so cozy and just what we needed. It ended up being a bit rainy during our stay, and we didn’t even mind to stay in.When we arrived, our door code was not working, but this was very quickly remedied by Ginger and Don, who were so kind! They own the General Store across the way and it was a breeze to either message Ginger or pop over to the store to say hello or ask a question. We absolutely plan to return and have even talked about finding a time when friends and family rent out the other two cabins with us to enjoy together. Highly recommend!

Excellent Location close to Rend Lake. Great Communication from Owner. Highly recommend staying here. Very modern and Cozy. Pet Friendly was also a huge bonus for us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an outstanding stay at Black Dog Cabin Rentals near Rend Lake! Everything exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Don and Ginger are absolutely wonderful hosts who genuinely care about making sure their guests have an incredible experience. The cabins are meticulously decorated and more than inviting! The property is a true hidden gem—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The on-site country store is a fantastic bonus, stocked with just about everything you might need during your stay. They even have their own custom beer, which is definitely worth trying! If you’re looking for adventure, they offer kayak rentals, and we were excited to hear that e-bike rentals will be available soon as well. If you’re planning a trip to the Rend Lake area, I can’t recommend Black Dog Cabin Rentals highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Very close to the lake within 2 minutes you are at the beach will be using again if I go back and general store on same property if you forget anything or need steaks to grill.
