About the host
Hosted by garrett & stacey
Hello! I'm a Los Angeles native. I enjoyed living in Boston for 4 years for grad school, but was happy to come back to the sunshine of the west coast. I'm an avid recreational tennis player and love bicycling, so being in a place with good weather that let's me be on the courts or riding my bike year round is a must. I love being a host in Pasadena because I get to share the places and things I love with my guests in a home that I enjoyed living for many years. I will have a couple rackets and tennis balls at the house for you to use if you want to go hit at the nearby Rosebowl courts. Also, I still live nearby and am happy to help with any issues that come up or if you need suggestions for what to do or where to go!
Why they chose this property
If you like doing outdoor activities like hiking, biking, tennis, soccer, baseball, jogging, golf, or just going to the park, this is a great place to be while at the same time being centrally located with easy access to the freeway to get you anywhere you want in LA.
What makes this property unique
This was my home for many years, and I loved living here. The house was carefully renovated with a thoughtful layout that feels both modern and inviting. I loved the open floor plan, sitting at the large dining table for meals or work, with the option of having the TV on in the background, while still being just steps from the kitchen for cooking, drinks, or snacks thanks to the easy flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas.
I also cherished the spacious patio for morning coffee or after dinner drinks while soaking in views of the San Gabriel Mountains, and I often enjoyed quiet strolls through the neighboring oak tree lined streets. Living just a short walk from the Rose Bowl loop made it easy to jog or bike around the park whenever I wanted, and as an avid tennis player, I especially appreciated the public Rose Bowl tennis courts and the iTennis Center for casual hitting, matches with friends, or group lessons.
Another standout feature is how easy it is to get around. The home is just minutes from the freeway, so you can hop on quickly and reach anywhere in Los Angeles, while still enjoying the peace and privacy of a quiet, residential neighborhood in the heart of Pasadena.
Last but not least, parking is a rare perk. This place has plenty of it, which is not easy to find in this area.
