Sonja House Abertamy - Welcome at Hana's

Our holiday home is located in the quiet village of Abertamy, Vítězná 237, 362 35, just 27 KM from Karlovy Vary. Abertamy is ideal for both winter and summer holidays. There are several ski resorts nearby—Plešivec (Plessberg), Boží Dar (Gottes Gab), Klínovec (Keilberg), Oberwiesenthal, Pernink, and others. Some ski resorts offer children’s ski schools, children’s ski lifts, and “magic carpets.” In the village of Abertamy, you’re right next to the “Skimagistrale Erzgebirge” cross-country ski trail. Summer is fantastic for hiking and biking; there are hundreds of forest trails and quiet village roads here, and of course, wherever there are cross-country trails in winter, you can bike from spring through late fall. My favourite season for biking and hiking is August through October—the air smells like “Indian Summer,” blueberries are everywhere, and if you bring a paper bag, you can go mushroom hunting and then cook up something delicious in our kitchen. Mushroom hunting is a must in the Czech Republic :-)<br><br>At the end of 2020, we completely renovated our house; it’s newly and modernly furnished. The house is very bright and can accommodate 1–8 people in 4 bedrooms with a total of 8 beds, all featuring new, high-quality mattresses and damask bedding. I can provide a cot for you with a blanket, pillow, and bedding—all in white cotton.<br><br>Our house has two bathrooms and a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine. New hand towels and bath towels made of thick white cotton will be provided for you.<br><br>We have a well-functioning and quiet gas central heating system.<br><br>There’s parking for two cars right next to our house, and there are also parking spots on the street. The house comes with a lovely garden featuring a playhouse, a swing, patio furniture, and a sandpit for the little ones.<br><br>The range of sports and cultural activities is truly endless—skiing, cross-country skiing, snowkiting, snow tubing, and in the summer, biking, hiking, and rock climbing. You can take a ride on the historic railway in Oberwiesenthal or visit the many observation towers in the Ore Mountains. The golf courses near Karlovy Vary are just a 30-minute drive away. I recommend visiting Karlovy Vary (20 minutes away), Františkovy Lázně, Mariánské Lázně, and the historic towns of Loket and Becov. The charming little town of Horní Blatná (Platten) is just a few kilometres away. My favourite restaurant, Faustuv Dvur, is located in Horní Blatná. In Jáchymov, there’s a small and pleasant water park called Agricola.<br><br>I also recommend the restaurant and butcher shop here in Abertamy, where you can enjoy a fresh, delicious, and very affordable lunch—the beef and lamb come from a local farm, as do the milk and other products. If you order takeaway, you’ll hardly have to cook at all. But if you’d rather prepare your own meals, our kitchen has everything you could need—even for baking a cake, for example :-)<br><br>Here, you’ll find peace and quiet and enjoy a wonderful rest.
