About this property

Retreat and Relax 1 block off Magazine St.

This is a quiet, secure and private residence intended to be your home away from home. As a host I look forward to welcoming all guests and enhancing your time in New Orleans so that you will want to come back soon. After spending a fun day exploring all that New Orleans has to offer come home to a quiet, relaxing space. Your home away from home is a block from the section of Magazine Street that has restaurants, groceries, pharmacies and so many unique boutiques. It is a comfortable 7 block walk to St. Charles Avenue for easy access to the streetcar and Mardi Gras parades. This is the perfect location to explore all that New Orleans has to offer. Once home you will experience a cozy and attractive setting with all new furnishings designed for comfort. The kitchen is ready if you want to prepare a meal (there is a seafood market a block away) and will always have coffee and tea (I don't like leaving home without and assume you don't either). Enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail on your private, plant filled deck. The space is decorated with New Orleans art. Missing anything? I live on the other side and will gladly respond to your needs. Want ideas on where to explore, shop or eat? I love sharing my city with guests and I look forward to being your tour guide or concierge. I love New Orleans and I want my guests to love it as well. My apartment is fully licensed and complies with the New Orleans Short Term Rental regulations. The license number is: 17STR-04761. You have completely private access to your apartment. I have a home office so I work and live next door. I will be available to do all that I can to ensure that you have an enjoyable, comfortable and hopefully memorable stay. This is a very quiet, family oriented residential block, so quiet that its hard to believe that we are only one block from Magazine Street. However, by foot and public transportation you can easily explore New Orleans, without a car. Public transportation is a block away. There are many good restaurants and boutiques within an easy walk from the apartment and we are a short distance to the French Quarter. I've lived here for decades because I love the convenience and walkability. I live in New Orleans because it is a walkable city and this location epitomizes this. I can easily spend a weekend without getting into my car and eat out, get groceries and find irresistible treats in the boutiques that are close by. There is a bus line within a block and the St. Charles Avenue street car is 7 easy blocks away. You can take either the bus or the streetcar to the French Quarter, its about a 15 minute drive, with traffic. While you do not need a car to enjoy your stay, there is on street parking available. Because I do live next door, I hope guests will be respectful that they are in a family home and a quiet, residential neighborhood. Please, this is not the place to have loud, crazy parties. I do have a dog and she is a small, quiet toy poodle who believes that she was put on this earth to love people, but not necessarily other animals.
