The home was clean and well supplied. Our host was very communicative and quick to respond. I stayed here about 14 years ago with my bridge group and over time I can see the need for some updating. Specifically, the floor coverings definitely need to be replaced. Otherwise, I would definitely return. Thank you for our week-long “30th” anniversary getaway!

The property was very nice, and was the most stocked of the many VRBO properties we have stayed at. The kitchen was well stocked, and enough towels which is often not the case. Prompt communication was helpful. The hot was very much enjoyed. The bathrooms in all bedrooms was wonderful. Everyone had their own. This has not happened before. A garage door opener would have made things much easier. Besides that it was great. Wonderful views, and multiple deer close by.

Would stay here again. Had everything our family 5 needed for a comfortable and fun weekend getaway. Great location near Doran Beach with easy walking access through the Bodega Harbor Clubhouse.

We had a wonderful stay in this home. It had a great view and was very comfortable. We brought two children, 4 and 7, and did NOT feel like we had to tell them “Don’t touch that. Don’t sit there. Stay out of that room.” It was comfortable, child-friendly and still lovely. The kitchen was very well appointed. I love to cook and often, the kitchen is one place I feel is lacking - not here. I love the enclosed BBQ area, the protected hot tub, and chairs facing the ocean. My husband and I stayed upstairs, while our son and his family were downstairs. Our 4 year old granddaughter had a tough time the first night. My son worried that she woke us up. We didn’t hear a thing. I would stay here again gladly and would happily recommend it to friends and family.

We had a great weekend at Bodega. The house was perfect. The view was amazing, the kitchen was fully stocked, the location was great. We really loved this place and we will definitely rent it again in the future.

The photos on the VRBO site do show a lovely home. I wish the house was stocked with higher quality pots and pans. Multiple frying pans had chips on the surface. We chose not to use them.I wish I would have known about the steps going into the dinning room and living room. I wish the two bedroom / bathrooms down stairs did not have a wet musky smell. (I do not believe it was mold but the odor was strong) I wish I had a sponge.I wish the stairs entering the house were not so steep and straight.I wish the trash was picked up from the previous occupancy and not tipped over and in sight for the whole day we were there.The smell downstairs was alarming as we had a 3.5 year old and a 9 month old with us.The stairs / steps were not safe for little ones and myself...Though the view was amazing. The beach was amazing. The walk to the beach was just steps away. The house is situated in a very convenient area, though it looks worn and tired. Needs some updates for the cost they are asking.

The owner is currently on-site making upgrades to the property and is also reviewing the kitchen supplies and equipment, so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re also sorry that the few steps between the kitchen and the lower living room/dining area were unexpected. The change in level is shown in the property’s 3D tour, but we understand that it may not have been as noticeable as we would have liked. We also appreciate your comments regarding the moisture downstairs. Because that area sits on a concrete foundation, it can accumulate moisture more easily, and we are actively looking into ways to better manage and reduce it. We truly appreciate your feedback as we continue making improvements to the property. We hope you still enjoyed your stay and would be happy to host you again in the future.
