The Space:

Blue Haven is a historic central-Amarillo home that has been brought back to life with modern systems. The layout works well for two or three working travelers sharing the home, or for a small project team that wants private rooms and shared common space.



Sleeping is spread across three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has two queen beds for larger groups or families. The living room has a sofa bed for flexible overflow. Total sleeping capacity is up to 8 guests.



The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking real meals. Refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and a full set of cookware, dishes, and utensils. If you are on a 30, 60, or 90 day stay, cooking at home cuts your food cost and gives you a break from restaurant food.



The living area is open and laid back, with a TV, comfortable seating, and good natural light. Two full bathrooms mean two people can be getting ready at the same time without anyone waiting. A full-size washer and dryer are in the home, which matters when you are away from home for a few weeks at a stretch.



Central air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, iron and ironing board, and a laptop-friendly workspace are all in place. WiFi is set up for streaming and remote work.



Outside, there is a private patio for a coffee in the morning or a quiet hour at the end of the day. Free parking is available in the driveway and on the street in front of the home, with room for multiple vehicles.



Guest Access:

Self check-in via keypad. Your unique access code is sent before arrival, so you can land on your own schedule after a travel day or a long shift. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request. Free parking is in the driveway and on the street directly in front of the home.



The Neighborhood:

Blue Haven sits on South Tyler Street in an established central-Amarillo residential neighborhood, close to the action but quiet at night. Polk Street and the SoPo arts district are a short drive, with coffee at Palace Coffee and barbecue at Tyler's Barbecue both close by. Downtown Amarillo, the Civic Center, and the Hodgetown ballpark area are easy to reach. The Big Texan Steak Ranch and the Route 66 historic district are short drives if you want a classic Amarillo evening. Palo Duro Canyon State Park is an easy day trip when you have a free Saturday. Westgate Mall and most major grocery stores are also close.



Getting Around:

Amarillo is a driving city. You will want a personal vehicle or a rental car. Free parking is available on the driveway and on the street in front of the home, with space for multiple vehicles. The home is a short drive to I-40 east and west and to I-27 south. Amarillo International Airport (AMA) is on the east side of town. Uber and Lyft both operate locally.



Other Things to Note:

Smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in place. No smoking on the property, indoors or outdoors. No pets without prior host approval. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM out of respect for the neighbors. Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Long term stays are welcome and weekly or monthly rates can be discussed, so message us with your dates if you need a longer block.



Interaction with Guests:

We respect your privacy and we do not drop in. We are one message away through the booking app or by text if that is faster. We respond within an hour during the day and as quickly as we can otherwise. Before arrival we send the access code and any local tips you might want for your stay.
