The Space:

Sundrift blends contemporary desert architecture with warm organic design, creating a home that feels both elevated and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape. Curved walls, sculptural lines and natural materials soften the modern architecture, while warm wood tones, earthy textiles and hand-selected details bring a sense of calm throughout the space.



Natural light pours through expansive sliding glass doors and oversized windows, illuminating the smooth concrete floors, custom curved cabinetry and thoughtfully layered interiors. Every room was designed to feel open, grounded and restorative, with a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living. Whether you’re gathering with friends around the kitchen island, enjoying a slow morning coffee overlooking the desert or unwinding after a day of exploring Joshua Tree, the home was intentionally designed for relaxation, connection and stillness.



- Outdoor Amenities -

The outdoor spaces were designed to fully embrace the beauty of the desert landscape. The pool and elevated spa overlook rugged mountain views and native Joshua Tree terrain, creating a peaceful setting for long afternoons in the sun and quiet evenings under star-filled skies. Just beside the pool, a wood burning fire pit offers the perfect place to gather after sunset as the desert cools and the sky begins to glow.



An outdoor dining area sits adjacent to the built-in BBQ and pizza oven, making outdoor cooking and shared meals feel effortless. The property also features a private outdoor sauna tucked into the landscape for a more restorative experience.



A short walk down the pathway leads to a secluded hammock circle nestled into the desert, offering another quiet space to relax, read or stargaze beneath the open sky. With wide open surroundings, soft breezes and incredible sunsets, the outdoor experience at Sun Drift feels immersive, peaceful and intentionally connected to nature.



- Living Area -

The main living space feels bright, spacious and inviting, with large sliding glass doors that open directly to the outdoor patio and pool area. Clean architectural lines are softened by earthy textures, warm woods and a large oversized sectional designed for long conversations and slow mornings with coffee.



The open concept layout creates an easy flow between the living room, dining area and kitchen, making the space ideal for gathering while still feeling calm and uncluttered. Decorative candlelit fireplaces add warmth and atmosphere, while curated decor and natural materials keep the home feeling grounded and serene.



Just off the main living room is a cozy music and game nook featuring instruments, records, seating areas and a telescope for stargazing, offering a more intimate space to unwind after a day of exploring the desert.

The kitchen was designed as both a functional gathering space and a sculptural centerpiece of the home. Curved countertops, custom wood cabinetry and softly rounded walls create a warm, organic atmosphere that feels uniquely architectural while remaining inviting and approachable.



The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances, generous prep space and an oversized island with seating, making it ideal for shared meals, casual breakfasts and evenings spent cooking together. Open shelving and natural textures throughout the space add to the clean yet earthy aesthetic.

The home includes two thoughtfully designed bathrooms. One features a spa-inspired walk-in shower wrapped in rich Zia tile with warm earthy tones and a double vanity, creating a luxurious retreat-like feel. The second bathroom includes a shower and bathtub combination, offering flexibility for both quick rinses after the pool and slower evenings spent unwinding.



Throughout the home, the design remains cohesive, minimal and warm, with an emphasis on comfort, simplicity and connection to the surrounding environment.

Guest Access:

The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that the garage and a few closets are being used for storage for supplies for the rental that are locked to guests.

Sun Drift is located in the south Joshua Tree neighborhood of Monument Manor - one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Joshua Tree area. Located right outside of the West Entrance of the National Park, Monument Manor is famous for its breathtaking vistas of the area’s signature jagged boulder mountains and desert flora.

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver



Getting Around:

Please note that Sun Drift is in a remote location and the last mile to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have large bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.



A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area.



Please make sure to follow our directions to the house, as following GPS may take you on roads that are not maintained.
