About this property

Near Lake Travis 100% Full -3BR - Spanish Style - Large lot to park lake toys

Welcome to Pavo Real -
In the Hill Country, just minutes from the sparkling shores of Lake Travis. Pavo Real is a modern, one-story Spanish-style home that was designed to make you exhale the moment you walk in.

Wild peacocks actually roam the neighborhood. Spot one & you'll understand exactly why we named it what we did.

Austin lake living at its best: beautiful home, great location & just enough wild charm to make it unforgettable. Lake Travis has reached lake capacity! Clear and refreshing waters.

Come stay. Spot a peacock. Stay longer than you planned.

The Renovation —
What It Means for You. A lot of properties get listed as "updated" when what that really means is a new coat of paint and a microwave from 2019. This is a full renovation. New floors. New fixtures. New kitchen finishes. New bathrooms. The bones of a beloved Hill Country home with everything inside done fresh, modern, and right. You'll feel it the moment you walk in.

The bottom line-
1,200 square feet sounds modest. The way this home lives feels anything but. Smart layout, thoughtful design, and a renovation that respected the Spanish character of the home while bringing everything fully into the modern era. It punches well above its square footage — and guests always comment on it.

Full Home Access
Every room, every space, every corner of this home is available to you and your group:

All 3 bedrooms — fully furnished, fresh linens, ready for your arrival

Full bathrooms — nicely appointed

Full kitchen — every appliance, every cabinet, every drawer. Cook like it's your own home.

Living room — kick back, stream your shows, gather the group

Laundry room — washer and dryer fully available. Detergent provided. Do your laundry, stay longer

All outdoor areas — the front entry, driveway, side parking area, and yard are all yours to use freely. Worth noting - if you have lake toys and/or an RV then you can store on the lower lot. The property is 1/3 an acre.

A Note on Private Areas
To ensure the home stays in top condition for every guest, there is one locked owner's storage area that is not part of the rental. Everything else — every room, every cabinet, every outdoor space — is fully available to you.

The Pavo Real Promise: You booked a home, not a room. We treat it that way. Full access, full privacy, and a host team that's responsive when you need us and invisible when you don't. That's the way a great stay should work.

1. Weather & Seasonal Tips
Guests from out of state are often caught off guard by Austin weather. Heres simple heads-up:

Summer (Jun–Sep): Expect 95–105°F. Sunscreen, water shoes, and a hat are non-negotiable at the lake.
The AC in the home is set at 75 during the day and 71 at night.

Spring & Fall: Absolute perfection. Best time to visit. Pack a light layer for evenings.

Winter: Mild but occasionally freezing. Lake activities slow down but the Hill Country is beautiful and uncrowded

Storms: Central Texas gets fast-moving thunderstorms. If one rolls in off the lake, it passes quickly — don't let it ruin your day

2. Health & Safety Basics
Nearest pharmacy (Randalls has one on-site)
Nearest urgent care & ER - Family Hospital - Located Across from Randalls on 620, 5012 Ranch Rd 620 N, Austin, TX 78732
First aid kit location in the home
Fire extinguisher under kitchen sink
Smoke detector

3. Cell Signal & Internet Heads Up
Guests are often surprised that signal gets spotty near the lake.
Worth mentioning:
The home WiFi is strong and reliable indoors
Certain spots near the water may have limited service — embrace the disconnect

4. Texas Wildlife Disclaimer
Bugs: Mosquitoes are real near the lake, especially at dusk. Bring or grab bug spray at HEB.
Scorpions & spiders: Rare indoors but possible in a Hill Country home — shake out shoes left outside
Snakes: Occasionally seen near the water — admire from a distance, never approach
Deer: Roam freely through the neighborhood — magical, not dangerous
Peacocks: Obviously

5. Getting Around — Transportation Tips
A car is essential — Hudson Bend is not walkable to everything and rideshare can be slow to arrive in this area Uber and Lyft are available but response times can be 15–20 min, especially late night
Designate a driver if you're heading to the Oasis or Steiner Ranch Steakhouse for dinner — the roads back are dark and winding
Nearest gas station 7-11

Guests don't overpack or make unnecessary store runs:
Starter toiletries — shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided

Cleaning supplies — broom, mop, vacuum

3. Maximizing the Potential of a Unique Property Layout
From a real estate perspective, this property is a standout—single-story living, expansive outdoor space with boat/RV parking, and flex space. We love seeing how guests utilize every square foot, whether it's extended families appreciating the extra privacy of the tiny home or friends using the lot for outdoor gatherings.
4. Serving as Local Ambassadors for Lake Travis & Hill Country
Our industry insight makes us passionate about context—where a home sits and how people experience the surrounding community. We love sharing local knowledge, pointing guests toward the best Lake Travis boat launches, Hudson Bend parks, and Hill Country dining spots so they can experience Austin like a true insider.

Why they chose this property

Hudson Bend (Lake Travis Access):
Just minutes up the road, Hudson Bend is home to top-tier marinas, public boat launches, and waterfront dining (like Shack 512 or Oasthouse).
It serves as the primary gateway for high-energy lake activities—boating, jet-skiing, sailing, and catching sunsets over Lake Travis's wide-open lower basin.
Jessica Hollis Park (Lake Austin Access):
Sitting right below Mansfield Dam, this park offers immediate access to the start of Lake Austin.
Because the water feeds directly from the base of the dam, it stays a crisp ~70°F year-round, making it a favored local spot to beat the hot Texas summer heat.
It's tailored for non-motorized, serene lake life—stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, cold-plunge swimming, and quiet morning fishing along a shaded, tree-lined shore.
