We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay! This is a true Up North getaway, surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful trees. The lake was especially calm in the evenings, and the water was clear that we could see through it while kayaking. The cabin was very clean and had that cozy, woodsy Up North charm we were hoping for. It comfortably accommodated our group of 4 adults and 6 kids. There are also several beautiful Lake Huron beaches nearby that are definitely worth visiting. We were especially lucky to be there during the Perseids meteor shower and saw at least a hundred shooting stars. It was an unforgettable experience!I would highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing vacation. The kids’ only suggestion would be adding a floating swimming dock to make swimming in the lake a little easier. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and made some great memories!

This was a wonderful experience. The house was perfect for us, well appointed with comfortable beds, nice rooms, and an exceptional back porch overlooking a beautiful lake. The canoe and kayak were perfect for exploring the Ocqueoc Lake. Nearby Rogers City and Onoway were delightful. Awoken Park was something to see! A quick drive to the Mackinac City Ferry for an incredible day on the island. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby, and easy access to groceries. Lake Huron is right next door, with plenty of public beaches, lake museums, and a lighthouse. Ocqueoc falls were a unique and interesting experience as well. The kitchen was easy to use, and well stocked with everything we needed. We loved having coffee (or hot chocolate) on the upper or lower back decks, watching the morning rise over the lake. We had a lot of great family time in the upper living room; board games, movies, and conversations. Plenty of room for our family of five. I highly recommend the property and the area. 5 plus stars!
