Great condo near Winter Park

We had a great stay here during our winter park ski vacation. The mountain and shuttle were close, the condo was clean and spacious, and we would definitely stay here again!

Great location and clean

Amazing location and clean. 5 minute shuttle to the Winter Park base. Not great for a long stay because there is no washer/drier. We didn’t see a fan in the kitchen so cooking anything set off the fire alarms.

Perfect Retreat at the Base of Winter Park

Our stay at this charming location nestled at the base of the ski mountain was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth and comfort of this delightful vacation home. The space is equipped with everything you need to cook (we made a beautiful dinner the first night), and he common area is spacious and clean. The place feels homey and authentic but also has modern furnishing and amenities. The location is perfect to walk over take the bus to the base of winter park, or you can quickly zip over to Winter Park where there are great restaurants and breweries. We highly recommend Skiing Sanctuary for couples or families looking to get away! Thank you so much for the awesome stay!

Winter Park Place

Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Property is at front edge of a neighborhood among other homes condos, but more out on its own with surrounding open lots. Front porch nice to have coffee out in the morning. Inside we liked the informal family feel, kind of like home, verses a hotel. Great kitchen and dining space, relaxing living room with views of ski slopes, and separate bedrooms made it comfortable for all 6 of us. Very close to ski area and local Fraser river trail which we enjoyed several walks down and one day biked into town in about 20 minutes. Also easy access to great hiking trails up the pass. We will stay here again!

Great location but questionable cleanliness

The location is great and there is plenty of room for a single family. This said, we got some bug bites while there and have continued to get more at home. Also my husband attempted to make tea using the water boiler and ended up drinking something rancid instead as the boiler wasn’t properly cleaned. I attempted to get a hold of the owner twice instead of a national-level property management group and no one has gotten back to me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your recent stay at our home and the unpleasant experiences you had during and after your visit. We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter unexpected issues, especially when it comes to your health and safety. Regarding the bug bites, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We take pest control very seriously and have regular inspections and treatments to prevent any infestations. As for the water boiler issue, we are equally disappointed to hear that your husband encountered a problem with the appliance. We assure you that we have strict protocols in place for cleaning and maintaining all of our equipment to ensure the highest level of hygiene and safety for our guests. Unfortunately, it seems that this particular instance fell short of our standards, and we apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort this may have caused. We appreciate you bringing this concern to our attention and allowing us to review it and address it accordingly. We hope you will give us the opportunity to host you again.

Overall very good and an easy walk to the slopes!

We worked and skiied from here for a few weeks and it was a great setup. The wifi is strong (could support multiple people conferencing) and the apartment is well set up. The location is ideal -- there's a path at the end of the road to walk over the train tracks and onto the slopes (a ~5min walk instead of the ~20min walk that Google will show you). There's a ski shop and restaurant/bar next door which cover some nice-to-have amenities. So overall, it covers all the basics (i.e. no hot tub) and was a very fair price, which can be hard to find sometimes in these days of suped up expensive ski houses. Keep in mind, there is no washer/dryer and the only laundromat is in the Winter Park town a shuttle ride away. Vacasa is a private equity mega corporation, so connecting with their local staff was slower than it would be for a rental with a local owner, but it did work eventually.

Great location! Had a great time

We loved our stay in this very cozy home, very well equipped and very close to the slopes. Bus pickup to the slopes is only a few meters away.
