Welcome to The Big Hitter Lodge at Tamarron,
A spacious and inviting mountain retreat ideally located between Durango and Purgatory Resort. Whether you're here to explore, relax, or hit the slopes, this condo puts you right in the middle of it all.
Step into a bright, open living space with a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table for eight, and additional bar seating—perfect for gathering after a day of adventure. The cozy living room features a custom fireplace, large windows, and access to a private deck where you can enjoy fresh mountain air and peaceful surroundings.
The main-level master suite offers a king bed and a private bath with a walk-in shower, along with a desk and WiFi for remote work. A second bedroom includes bunk beds ideal for families or groups, while the upstairs suite features two queen beds and its own private bath for added comfort and privacy. TVs in every bedroom and the living room ensure everyone can unwind their way.
As a guest, you'll have access to fantastic on-site amenities, including those at The Glacier Club*, where you can enjoy an 18-hole mountain golf course**, plus tennis courts, a pool, and a fitness center. Three restaurants are also just a short walk from the condo.
Nestled in the beautiful San Juan Mountains, you're only minutes from outdoor adventures like skiing, hiking, hot springs, and the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Quick and easy check in, even got a notification that we could check in early for free. Would stay here again if we ever go back to Durango. It’s about 20 minutes to town and about 10 miles to Purgatory

Cozy in Colorado

It was perfect! We went for Christmas and we’re hoping for a white Christmas and got it! They also made the place extra with Christmas decorations! Thank you for the tree we were going to have to figure something out but didn’t have to it was wonderful! So spacious and clean. Best VBRO we have had ever!! Thank you

It took us over 40 min to find our place. The directions texted to us were not clear. The address they gave us did not have a keypad to get in. Got a hold of property. They sent us to another location. Pregnant woman , kids, grandpa and other adults climbed many stairs with suitcases. We get to the top and the code does not work. Get a hold of the property and we tried several codes. They call us back and send us back down all the stairs to our original location but the condo next to it. Different than what was texted to us. This door had a keypad. These two condos were attached. We got in. Very spacious and nice. It was clean, however they need to clean or change out bath mats. The upstairs only had decorative pillows. We had to find pillows but no pillowcases. I would stay here again just a bad ecperience checking in. Thank goodness it wasn’t dark .
