The house stays cozy year-round with heating and air conditioning using mini-splits in most rooms. It boasts a modern, sparkling clean kitchen with gorgeous tile backsplash, a washer/dryer, and dishwasher, and huge living room with a comfy leather reclining sofa. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploring at Tuckahoe State Park, or enjoying day trips to nearby Easton or St. Michael's, this amazing, newly renovated home provides a welcoming atmosphere with small town charm. Sip your morning coffee on our front or back porch, take a walk to the nearby park with the kids, or bring your bike for some beautiful, flat cycling in the expansive countryside. We also have 2 cruiser bikes to tour around town! Such a cute house in a cute little town surrounded by corn fields! We ate fresh foods the whole time we were there! The neighbor even brought us fresh veggies right from his garden! The house was well stocked with all the necessities (toilet paper, towels, blankets, etc). We wanted for nothing!!I will caution you if you have issues with mobility as it is an older house with some quirks. My elderly in-laws stayed with us and I was worried that they would fall down the step into the bathroom in the middle of the night or hit their head on the way down the stairs (thankfully they did not!). But those were awesome cute little quirks for the rest of us!If we travel to that area again this would definitely be a place where we would stay again! Thank you Emily!

Originally from northwestern PA, but have been in MD teaching Spanish since 2002! I've lived on the eastern shore, Baltimore, Severna Park, and now I call Annapolis home.

I love to travel with my family. My husband, Luis, is from Portugal so we go most ever summer. I enjoy gardening, going to the gym, watersports, and camping. I love the outdoors.

My two kids keep me busy with dance, taekwondo and soccer during the week but I'm never far away if a guest needs anything! Just call or text! I truly love our little house in Ridgely and love being a host. I hope to get return guests!

Why they chose this property

I used to live in Greensboro, which is the neighboring town way back in 2002-2006. I used to go to church at St. Benedict and volunteer at the Benedictine Sisters Monastery at St. Martin's Barn, so I would spend some time in Ridgely every week. The town is small and charming.

What makes this property unique

When I saw this house come on the market, I knew it'd be a perfect place with some TLC and time. The house has a homey, histroric feel with some original wood trim from the 1800s, and lends itself to lazy mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee watching passersby. It's a nice, central hub to other touristy areas: Easton, St. Michael's, points in Delaware including the beach, and tons of local attractions like Denton, Kent Island, Tuckahoe State Park. Our huge yard is perfect for grilling out, enjoying a meal outside on our patio table, or sitting around the fire pit at night. You can play cornhole, badminton, or any game you want (some yard games are provided in the trunk on the porch!). We strive to be your home away from home!
