L'Estartit is located in the center of the Costa Brava, so it is very well connected with the rest of the coastal towns as well as with Girona, Barcelona and the French border by the AP-7 freeway (exits 5 and 6).

Flaçà station, 16 km away, is a stop for all trains running on the line from Barcelona to the French border, with the exception of some express trains such as the Talgo, which stops only at the stations of Girona and Figueres, 45 and 39 km away respectively. The nearest international airports are Girona-Costa Brava and Barcelona. In the first one, airplanes land and take off in charter flights mainly (although there are also some regular flights). This airport is located 51 km away. The airport of Barcelona, located about 150 km away, receives almost all scheduled flights. Buses of the companies SARFA and AMPSA have regular services from Barcelona, from Girona and from the main towns of the Costa Brava. The marina and fishing port of l'Estartit has a privileged location: protected by the Montgrí coast and 16,000 m2 with capacity for more than 700 moorings, boats up to 25m. in length, winter storage, sailing school and sports facilities.



L'Estartit is today one of the most prestigious tourist resorts on the Costa Brava that stands out for its services, facilities and activities but, above all, for its natural environment. A mile off the coast of L'Estartit we discover the Medes Islands, one of the most important reserves of marine fauna and flora in the Western Mediterranean, which invite you to visit them by boat or to start scuba diving.
