Ferienhaus Almau.Bayern - Charming bungalow with large garden & mountain views

Our bungalow is located right in the middle between Lake Chiemsee and the Chiemgau Alps, near the Tiroler Achen, in a large garden with mature trees.<br>Almau.Bayern is part of the municipality of Übersee am Chiemsee.<br><br>The house was completely renovated in 2022 and then lovingly furnished and decorated. Our main priority here was to showcase the special location and the 180° mountain view, while capturing and preserving the charm of the region and that of an old house. In the large, peaceful garden, you can relax wonderfully and enjoy your holiday.<br><br>Our house—a 1960s bungalow that was completely gutted, renovated, and furnished to a very high standard with great attention to detail—offers plenty of space for up to six people across approximately 130 square metres of living space.<br><br>Here you’ll find a very spacious, open, and bright living-dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, and a panoramic windowsill offering a fascinating view of the Hochplatte and Kampenwand. <br><br>A wide window front that opens wide offers a south-facing view across the large, beautiful garden towards the Chiemgau mountains. Here, you can also enjoy the nearly 180° panoramic view from a spacious wooden deck. <br><br>Adjacent to the living area is another room with direct access to the garden and terrace. It can be easily separated from the living room—both visually and acoustically—with a sliding door, allowing it to serve as a TV room or, with a pull-out sofa, as a bedroom for two additional guests.<br><br>Next to it, also facing south and with access to the garden, is a large bedroom featuring a wide double bed made of genuine, solid Swiss stone pine, which creates a wonderful atmosphere for a restful night’s sleep with its characteristic scent.<br><br>Two large, lovingly restored, rustic single beds made of solid wood can be found in the east-facing room, making it ideal for children.<br><br>The house features a separate guest bathroom, a large, modern bathroom with a toilet and shower, a spacious hallway, and an utility room with a washing machine, dryer, and other appliances.<br><br>The terrace and the large garden invite you to unwind and relax. One of our favourite spots is the hammock in the partial shade beneath the fruit trees, with a view of the Kampenwand.<br>For children of all ages, there’s a ping-pong table and a large trampoline (use at your own risk!).<br><br>The entire house is heated via modern underfloor heating. As part of the renovation, in addition to extensive insulation measures, a sustainable heating system featuring a heat pump was installed.<br><br>You’ll be renting the entire house, which sits on a lot of approximately 1,500 square metres—you’ll have the entire property to yourselves and can use it as you please. Free parking is also available. The only areas off-limits are the utility rooms and the garage.<br><br>Our house is perfect for four people, though it can accommodate up to six if the sofa bed is used. The base price is calculated for four people; each additional guest is charged €25 per night.<br><br>Due to the amenities and local conditions, we also gladly recommend our house for families with children ages 6 and up. Dogs are allowed upon request; we also charge an additional fee of 25€ per night for this.<br><br>Since summer 2023, you’ve had the option to charge your electric car for free, easily, and conveniently right outside the front door. This works via an RFID chip, subject to prior arrangement.
