A great summer escape on China Lake! We had a great family vacation week at the house — swimming, kayaking and relaxing around the fire pit. The views are spectacular! A great find!
For us, the home was in a great location for branching out on day trips to coastal towns. 1-2 hours drive you can be to all the cool coastal towns or Acadia National Park. Property is at the end of a private, dead-end road and felt very "private" and secluded in wooded area. Great spot for sitting on the back deck or around the fire in the evenings. Property was spacious, clean, well maintained and very well equipped with all the essentials, plus many small extras that made it that much better. There is always something we forget, but the Hosts had it covered. Excellent morning sunrise views from the deck and master bedroom balcony. Beautiful views of China Lake. Beds were very comfortable, towels were plush and showers were hot with great water pressure.Felt like home away from home. Would highly recommend.
We will miss this house and would be happy to come back again. The ac in every bedroom plus the main floor made the most humid days comfortable. And China Lake is a wonderful place to have a piece of to yourself.
