Peaceful and Beautiful

While the cabin is a little rustic, it was clean, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. We had our spaniel along with us, and he had as much fun as we did. What a beautiful view and peaceful environment. We loved our stay!

Second time staying, and will hope to stay again. Great for relaxing and getting away. Water at your doorstep. Spectacular views. Best part is my dogs are welcome too. Great hosts as well.

Excellent if Looking for Peace and Quiet.

Everything was as shown and stated. The hosts were excellent. Just be aware its not close to anything big or fancy. It is a very old cabin that it kept very clean and in very good shape. The pizza place/restaurant in Guysborough has very good Mediterranean food.

Great Spot!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our two boys, 8 and 5, loved skimming rocks and swimming while we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and eagles. It was such a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The cottage was exactly as advertised. The only suggestion I would have is the addition of extra fans for the July heat. Thank you for providing such a great spot!

Blown away with location, so close to the water A real treat, very relaxing. I was however disappointed that the dock was not available to use during our stay. The dock was a draw for us. Overall very nice stay, we didn't let our disappointment ruin our stay.

The price was a little high other there than that it was good. Right on the water beautiful view. With the weather being so damp there were a lot of wood bugs

Janice’s 65th birthday celebration

The cabin was exactly like it showed on the site . We truly enjoyed canoeing and observing the wildlife on the bay . The only issue we had was the availability of dining options which we were somewhat aware of but didn’t know how far it was to restaurants . The owners stopped by and were very accommodating.

Old and incomplete pictures

The cottage has everything needed for your stay. However, the online pictures are old and incomplete. They don't show the true state of the cottage, like the kitchen cabinets and the deck, they are ancient and the deck is falling apart, needed to wear shoes to walk on it. It also shows new windows, but that's only the front ones, the rest are very old and some cannot be opened. We know now why there limited pictures of inside of the cottage.

We had pictures on our site, however they were removed during a recent website update by VRBO and we have not had the opportunity to take new ones due to the cottage being occupied. We are sorry to hear that you did not like the rustic nature of our cottage. We have kept it in it's original state for as long as we could as many guests have previously expressed their joy in finding they were reminded of grandparents or memories of childhoods. Our rental rates reflect that this is not a modern cottage. We offer everything you would need to have a carefree stay, including satellite TV, high speed internet, all amenities needed to feel at home, and not to mention a beach at your doorstep...all for rates less than a hotel room. We appreciate your feedback and will work on improving in the areas you had mentioned.

Amazing cottage on the waters edge

Steps away from the salt water tide this cute cottage has it all. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed, and the fire pit was a nightly event.

Beautiful location

We loved our stay here! The cottage (camp) is cute, and has all you need. Very clean. I spent every second there and only went to town for groceries. The best part was that our two dogs, my babies, were able to come and made our time that much more enjoyable.

Great little place to spend quarantine in

My daughter and I stayed here for 14 days during our quarantine period. We absolutely fell in love with the place and the surroundings. Irmi and Michael are great hosts. The cottage was exactly as described and we had everything we needed for our stay here. Highly recommend!

Das Haus von Irmi und Michael liegt idyllisch direkt am Wasser- traumhafter Blick, auch aus allen Wohnraumfenstern! Kanu war vor Ort- herrlich! Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht- super Küchenausstattung, sehr bequemes Bett, tolle Dusche! Irmi und Familie sind ausgesprochen freundlich und immer gut zu erreichen- falls mal etwas benötigt würde! War bei uns aber nicht der Fall- alles war perfekt! Herzlichen Dank- wir kommen wieder!
