Experience the North Fork like a local in this beautiful 4-bedroom house (Sleeps 8). Enjoy walking to our local beach and exploring nearby golf courses, vineyards, farms, and horse stables. The home has a crisp modern feel with a fabulous eat in kitchen and back deck overlooking a small forest. Situated at the entrance to the North Fork, you have easy access to the Hamptons, Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay only 1.5 hrs from NYC.

The house is equipped with a light exercise room, den with kitchen bar, a fire pit, ping pong table, and mini foosball. It is perfect for a quiet retreat or group gatherings and provides easy access to the outdoors and the North Fork tranquil vibe while offering the convenience of shopping just minutes away (including outlets for the rainy day and plenty of restaurants). The house is also minutes away from the Long Island Aquarium and Splish Splash. With three rooms with queen beds and one with two twins, the house can accommodate most needs.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Garbage and recyclables (green trash can) should be emptied into outside trash cans and lids carefully screwed on please
Please close up porch umbrella whenever you leave house. Cover the BBQ with cover nightly and close the gas tank (turn to right tightly). Extinguish Solo fire pit, let cool, and then place cover
Please be sure to close/lock kitchen door firmly. Please make sure to increase temperature to 75 degrees when you leave and power down downstairs split units and turn off ceiling fans.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

She is a fan of the east end and the North Fork in particular which has retained its rural and seaside charm over the years. She and her family are delighted to share their home and have others experience the many hidden treasures of the North Fork.

Why they chose this property

The North Fork is a special area of Long Island full of water opportunities (Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay), farms, great food and vineyards, and friendly folk with a more tranquil perspective. Take a stroll in Rolling Woods neighborhood to the beach or the corner farmstands and enjoy the occasional wild animal spottings in the early morning or evening. This is a wonderful corner of Long Island and only 1.5 hrs from NYC and accessible by train or Hampton Jitney buses, For those interested in some nightlife, downtown Riverhead has the Suffolk (bands and other performances), several restaurants along the river walk, and nearby Tanger outlets for the rainy day shopping. For those with children, teh Aquarium is 10 mins away and a favorite for kids together with the nearby Splish Splash Waterpark in Calverton. Lots of options for all types and ages of folk!
