Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Verify guest room door key is hung up on the hook by the bathroom.
Return all AC units to 76 during spring and summer, and all heat units to 65 during fall and winter.
Used towels and sheets should be placed in the washer with 2 laundry tabs and the wash cycle started. Thank you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Late check outs require prior approval. Unapproved late check outs will be charged $60 per half hour to reschedule the cleaning crew with no notice.

What a beautiful and clean farm house. Quiet and peaceful. The house is well decorated and dog friendly. Very close to main attractions. The best place we have stayed in Westminster MD.

This home was located in a beautiful area with a quiet lovely environment. We enjoyed some grapes and the nature surrounding the home. The home itself was cozy and provided many things that we needed. The kitchen was lovely and contained many appliances for different needs. If we are ever in the area and need a place to stay we would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Everything was well stocked and very clean. It was evident that Amanda worked hard to make sure her guests had everything they needed for an enjoyable stay. We had a great time making s'mores with our grandchildren by the firepit one night. The cabin has a rustic feel with all the modern amenities. It is a great little gem!

Our family is from Maryland, we live nearby the farm and cabin. We enjoy biking, hiking, homesteading and RV traveling.

Why they chose this property

We already knew the neighborhood well as we chose it for our family home as well. It's just outside the downtown area of historic Westminster with lots of shopping and food, but far enough outside to escape the noise and traffic of a city. The neighbors are kind and welcoming, people of all ages are often seen riding bikes, walking and jogging the roads along the farm.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with this property the second we saw it years ago. It had been neglected for several years and looked like it had so much potential. It is still a work in progress today, as we started our focus with updating the cabin and guest room. Some landscaping has been tackled to make the cabin more cheerful as well, freshly planted lavender and tri color sage are a few of my favorite additions. Our next steps are to fix up the outbuildings which include 2 barns, a workshop and a few sheds. We plan to have chickens first, then add flower and vegetable gardening. The workshop will be converted to a pottery studio where we plan to also offer kids summer camps. The ultimate goal is to build a horse barn and paddock for lease riding and training. So, we are just getting started at Sparkling Star Farm!
