About the host

Host profile image
We’re teachers from the Philadelphia area who found this cabin as a much‑needed place to rest, restore, and reconnect with nature. We both love the outdoors and appreciate the quiet, peaceful setting this space offers.

I’m an artist and enjoy creating here—the light‑filled sunroom and surrounding woods are endlessly inspiring. My partner loves the slower pace and the opportunity to relax and meditate in the many calm, quiet spaces around the property. We wanted to let others enjoy this space while we're back at school teaching.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood for its incredible sense of privacy and quiet. The home sits on a private road within a small community, yet you can’t see any neighboring houses from the property—just trees in every direction.
Surrounded by four acres of heavily wooded land, it feels like stepping into a peaceful, almost magical forest retreat. The tall trees create a deep sense of calm and seclusion, while the native gardens around the home add a special, thoughtful touch that changes beautifully with the seasons.

One of the things we love most is how connected you still feel to nature, even indoors. Large windows in nearly every room bring in natural light and forest views, so whether you’re relaxing, reading, or cooking, you’re always immersed in the landscape.

It’s a place where you can truly slow down, breathe deeply, and feel tucked away—while still being a short drive from charming nearby towns.

What makes this property unique

While we cherish the stillness of the cabin, we also love exploring nearby towns like Narrowsburg, Milford, and Honesdale, each full of charm, great food, and local character.

We truly enjoy sharing this space with others and hope it offers you the same sense of calm, creativity, and connection that it brings to us.
