Beautiful spot on a peaceful lake. Enjoyed traveling around SW Michigan and felt close to wineries, the shore and things to do. The cottage was very clean, had everything you need for your stay including kayaks, and plenty of places to sit outside by the lake. The host was easy to communicate with and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return.

Great house in a beautiful spot. We stayed 3 nights and had no major issues or complaints.Nice clean kitchen. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of room and plenty of seating/extra chairs which is something vacation renters often miss. The back deck, the screened in porch and the back room are all great for sitting and reading and/or watching the lake. At least when we were there, the lake itself and the homes around it were very peaceful. A very occasional pontoon boat or jet ski going by.Enjoyed the two kayaks and took those out a few times and found the lake is surprisingly big. Liked the location too. Close enough to Lake Michigan that you can easily go to Silver or Weko beach for the day, but if the water there is too rough you can just stay and enjoy the lake. Plus it's much quieter. Owners were very responsive via the app. Glad we found this place. It was perfect for us.

Thank you Chris for staying with us at Callebaut Cottage. Your communication was fabulous. We’re new hosts and we have big plans for this cozy cottage - we welcome you back as we grow in the future. We, too love Lake Michigan- but the peacefulness of Pipestone and the closeness to Sister Lakes is what attracted us to the area. Be well!

We are big Michigan lovers. Many of our fondest memories happened in Michigan. Lots of summers spent here, we welcomed our first dog, - Callebaut (whom we named our cottage after), we bought our first home together here, we got married here and we look forward to starting our Michigan 2.0 chapter here.

Why they chose this property

While we originally spent summers on Lake Michigan/ Harbor Country area - we realized we didn’t want to lug our beach goods up and down 125 steps. Our friends introduced us to Sister Lakes area and we were hooked. The caveat had to be that we could “log roll out the back door”. We didn’t want to cross the street, drive to or find a public lake access. We had to be lakefront and we’ve accomplished that!

What makes this property unique

We’re cozy and comfortable- but the perfect place to create memories that’ll last a lifetime.
