We enjoyed our stay at this waterfront cabin. Its steps from the water has amazing views from the screen porch, a nice little beach and abuts some town green space. The cabin is rustic, but the description and photos represent that well, so there were no surprises. Our host was easy to communicate with and check in and out was easy.
Quaint, simple and refreshing stay. The cabin is small but has everything you need. Perfect for 1-2 people and a pet. We loved the mini beach steps away from the cabin. Had a lovely time!
What a wonderful little gem! This cottage was just what we needed. It was right on the water with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Just a perfect place to relax and forget about life for a while.
As described, an older small cabin but comfy with great views. Water comes up to the cabin so we watched all kinds of crabs, fish, lots of birds, etc . Good swimming too. Close to restaurants. Pre-summer so not to crowded in the area. Had a great time.
We were hardly roughing it in this shabby-sheek cabin! Nice flat screen tv and fresh-grind coffee maker. Bright and warm, even when October nights were cold.

Cottage Needs Work
Amazing location but there was no toilet paper, some electric outlets had no covers, window panes had space in glass so an inch gap to the outside, etc. Needs a bit of work. Other than these things, the location and view was amazing.
The place is right on the water, which was great and the sunsets where beautiful. Other than that, the place was a run down SHACK. Doors are in terrible condition. Only one person at a time had enough space to get from kitchen to living room. There are no outlets in the bathroom. Would never go back! Definitely not worth the cost.

Great Cottage for 2
Quintessential New England Beach cottage - small, quaint, and with a fantastic view of the sunset. On a cove of the Bass River, walk able to several restaurants (and the ocean if so inclined as we were), and easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, I would highly recommend to any couple looking to get away for a few days. Audrey was very responsive to our minimal needs and was quick to respond to our messages.

Thank you for choosing our rental for your Cape Cod Visit.
Cozy little beach cottage. Majestic sunset. Great location. Could use a little sprucing up but for the price it was exactly what we needed. Note to owner-VCR was missing cables to connect to TV.

Beautiful water view, rustic but comfortable!
The flexibility of being able to postpone from September was great. Rustic but comfortable with awesome view! Outside shower wasn’t working and back neighbors loud😞
A cute cottage on the water. The screened in porch was great for morning coffee and reading. Only drawback was a condo directly behind that had a loud party the first night. They left shortly after and all was quiet. A few people set out on kayaks that went directly by, but otherwise we had a nice time.
We had a nice stay. We enjoyed floating and watching all the fiddler and horseshoe crabs. Our nervous dog even approved of this place! It was quite hot the first day and the AC unit wasn't up to the task but it eventually became comfortable. It is a cabin and shouldn't be thought of as anything more than that. It is tiny and a bit rustic. The bed was not very comfortable but I have a bad back. Ultimately, I don't think the price is proportionate to the actual lodging, but I guess that might just be a Cape Cod thing. Overall, we still had a lovely time.

Beautiful location
pretty much as advertised except there really is no beach to speak of and the kayak paddle was broken. Kitchen door was broken and the place could use a good scrapping and painting and window repairs without affecting the rustic look. great outdoor shower! Enjoyed the screened in porch. bed was very comfortable.
What a wonderful spot, nestled literally on the bank of the Grand Cove and the Bass River. Walked out the door no more than ten feet from the water (which was at least 65*). Fishing, Kayaking, swimming, crabbing everything you would want in a get away vacation. Audrey and Jerry were great hosts. Need anything BAMB she was right on top of things. We will be going back hopefully later in the summer. There for a week felt like a month!!
Way below our expectations, photos are deceptively staged, the place is 100 years old and it shows every one of those years. The whole bathroom smelled of urine. Absolutely the worst place ever. Needs to be torn down and replaced.
First, the location on the Cape is great. Easy to get to all the various towns along Route 28. Second, the interior of the house looks better than in the VRBO photos as the rooms are painted a soft white and some of the furniture is updated. Continuing, the VIEWS are beautiful! The sunsets are more beautiful than the photos reflect. And, the wildlife you ask? We saw bunnies, cranes, a bazillion little crabs that disappeared when we walked on the sand. Finally, the tiny beach is adorable. Swimming is better at high tide, but floating on floats was fun at both tides. If you’re looking for a restful place, this is it.
Could use some rethinking about the interior. The exterior needs better stepping and access into the building as we were our elderly people. It was not an easy entry. Cushioning inconsistent for the outdoor furniture and could be refreshed. Disappointed that the water quality was not what we really would have liked to dunk ourselves in while at the property. The view was excellent however we did enjoy our stay.
Greatly priced, no frills (except the amazing view and water access) spot mid Cape. Enough room for a large air mat in the living room and to cook a few simple meals. View is spectacular! Enjoyed morning coffee waterside. We don’t kayak but wished we did as the access is footsteps from your door. Property manager very quick to respond to any inquiries. Hope to stay again next year. FYI to pet owners... while dogs are allowed, they are not permitted on furniture or beds. Not sure if that was in rental agreement (it’s very possible I overlooked it in the details) or the welcome note. You do risk loosing security deposit. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back.

Cottage on the cove
Nice location. The cottage is near a lot of shops on Main Street and only a few minutes away from fun bars, restaurants and West Dennis beach.
The cottage is definitely outdated, but served its purpose. When I first got there, I vacuumed because there were several large dead bugs and the floor was really sandy. Before I left, I vacuumed again and I think I probably left the place cleaner than when I arrived. The outdoor shower was a nice addition! Water pressure was great, FYI that the cold knob turns on the hot water. The owner came by to say hello and see if we needed anything. Bring water shoes! The oyster shells can be sharp.
The cottage is right on the bay which is nice, so you are only steps from the water. The little beach is a shared public space, just an FYI. The cottage is dog friendly which is nice. My dog loves to swim so it was perfect to be steps from the water, especially at high tide. The area did seem very dog friendly…just be aware a blonde woman pulled up multiple times a day and let her off leash unruly Belgian Malinois run around and run into the water and around the cottages. The dog did NOT listen to the owner, growled at my husband and definitely made my dog nervous! He had no leash or collar and was very large. Just something to look out for.
It’s so easy to slip away into a completely sublime state of mind. As soon as you walk into this simple rustic seaside shanty style cottage. It brings you right back in time to a simpler time. It’s not a fancy or luxurious cottage or condo. It is a trip back in time to the American glory days when everyone could acquire a little piece of pie. Whether it was originally a families summer camp, or a fisherman’s hand built heavenly haven. It still holds the powerful magic of a time long past ours. A nearly extinct remnant of the history that brought us the luxuries we take for granted today.
There is everything you need to be comfortable simply. Full size refrigerator, small gas stove, microwave and full size grind n brew coffee pot. All the basic cookware, silverware and dishes you need. The full bathroom with a small standing shower is a bit lacking due to its restricting space limits and limited hot water, but it does the job just fine. The outdoor shower has minimal water pressure but makes up for the limited hot water indoors. Plan to shave your legs and hair there. The queen bed is very comfortable. The living room furniture is worn and not the most comfortable, but clean and efficient.
Considering the proximity to the water and sand, maintaining anything more valuable would be silly. Keeping the sand out is fully unattainable especially with a teen and a dog. Being able to relax and not worry about it ruining nice furniture is essential in this beachside environment.
