Hello! We are empty nesters married for over 30 years and permanent residents of Costa Rica for over 14 years. We are originally from the Charlotte, NC area and now call Charleston, SC our part-time home when we go back to the US. We moved to CR with our 4 boys and dog back in July of 2012 and have been fortunate to call this area home since. We have had several businesses in CR; currently, in addition to Laughing Gecko Suites, we own Coastal Construction Group, and Tony owns The Shack Restaurant in Surfside, Potrero. We lovingly renovated Laughing Gecko Suites and have tried to include everything we could so you would enjoy your stay!

We fell in love with the village of Brasilito years ago when we moved here and have enjoyed the improvements and growth we have seen along the way. Conchal Beach, just a short walk from the property, has consistently been ranked one of the best beaches in Costa Rica, and the new Flamingo Marina is only short drive away.

At Laughing Gecko, we renovated according to American standards with your comfort in mind. We have our own maintenance and cleaning crews should you have any issues and live and work here in the community, unlike many hosts, and are here to help you have the most enjoyable visit to Costa Rica as possible!
