Charming Woodland Cottage near Franklin, Tennessee

This is an absolutely charming cottage (2.5 BR/1.5 Bath) far removed from the stress of city life but located just 6 miles from downtown Franklin. Located on a forested ridge deep in the forest. A shy country mouse might drop in for a visit. This cottage is a getaway for romance or serenity. Optional outside Hot tub ($50 cleaning and setup fee).



NO PARTIES. THE BASE PRICE IS FOR TWO (2) PERSONS. Small additional person/night charge for the number of persons over two.



Located at the end of a mile-long drive through the woods, glampers here have absolute privacy and isolation amidst abundant nature.



The cottage is in a very safe location but can be scary to some folks who need other folks close by. Deer and turkey will visit you. A beautiful waterfall, accessible from a nearby trail runs after recent rainfalls.



The wooden interior is quaint and fits well in its surroundings. The first-floor family room has a TV with satellite signal and a DVD player. The couch there folds out to sleep two with an adjacent half-bath. One must go through the master bedroom to access the full bathroom upstairs. Add additional room off the master sleeps two more.



You will receive the door punch code before you arrive onsite. The Fork Inn offices are located at 5528 Big East Fork Rd. Registered guests of the Fork Inn may park at the Lake Gratitude Natural Area parking lot. Car passes must be visible on the windshield.



This cottage is located on a ridge adjacent to the Natchez Trace National Park. It is an isolated getaway in Leipers Fork, home to many country music stars and media personalities. The land is gorgeous and contains miles of hiking trails with access to small waterfalls, lakes, ponds, meadows, and woods. Deer, turkey, coyote, osprey, hawk, and bobcat, are numerous.



All Fork Inn guests are able to walk around Lake Gratitude, use the Lakeside Shelter, and hike the numerous trails.

The Center for Sustainable Stewardship (membership required) is located in the nearby valley and offers a host of trails and outdoor experiences.



Uber operates here. But a personal car is highly recommended.



The price quoted is for lodging only. If you are having an EVENT (people invited who are not Lodging) you must send a message to receive permission and pricing). Up to 10 gigabytes of Satellite internet data are provided monthly. While this is enough for browsing, email, and apps, streaming video will use up this allotment and you will be required to buy additional data ($30/10GB). The cottage is at the end of a winding mile-long driveway through the forest.



A government-issued photo ID must be shown or sent to staff prior to check-in. Check-in will be performed by the person making the reservation. If the person making the reservation will not be arriving first, contact the owner prior to check-in to discuss alternate arrangements.



***Only the number of guests registered may be on-premises ***. Exceptions only with documented permission of the owner. Unregistered guests are *trespassing* and may be prosecuted, so please do not invite them on the premises without the owner's permission. $100/night extra charge for each extra guest (including children) without documented permission of the owner.



External surveillance monitor(s) help safeguard our guests and compliance with our house rules.



GUEST MUST KEEP HOUSE IN THE SAME CONDITION AS RECEIVED, with the exception that linens/towels. The guest is responsible for cleaning grills and ovens if they are made greasy/dirty. Excess trash or cleaning or not leaving furniture/carpets in their places may result in a portion of your security deposit being withheld. Don’t place trash outside of bins making it accessible to hungry critters. Use of confetti, candles, fireplace, and outside fire pits, or moving of furniture are strictly prohibited without written permission of the owner. No underage drinking of alcohol. Bachelore(ette) and other "high-risk" parties may require an additional (fully refundable) cash deposit. EXTRA CLEANING necessary for the failure of the guest to clean up after occupancy will be charged to the guest.



Winter rule: Please keep windows and doors closed in cool weather and do not raise the temperature above 70 degrees. Help us keep our energy usage (and cost to our guests) sustainable!



Your stay at the Lodging includes access to the nearby Lake Gratitude, Lakeside Shelter, and hiking trails.
