Piazza San Michele, Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, San Martino Cathedral, Guinigi Tower and the shopping lane Via Fillungo are definitely a visit worth. You can also discover old workshops, trattorias and excellent restaurants in its picturesque lanes.
Many events take place in Lucca all year around and make it a perfect choice for your holidays: the Comics exhibition, the operas, classical concerts, the Summer Festival, the arts and craft market, the market of antiques which takes place every 3rd weekend of a month and much more.
By renting a house in the city centre, you won’t need a car to move around and the nearby art cities like Florence, Pisa, Siena and the beach are easily reachable by public transport.
