Welcome to this terrific, remodeled cabin in Clarkson that boasts modern amenities, lots of conveniences and easy access to beautiful Nolin Lake.

With three cozy bedrooms, including two queen beds and a fun "bunk room", an open concept kitchen and living room, and an amazing 500 square foot back deck outfitted with comfy outdoor furniture, guests will find plenty of space to relax. The single bathroom features a soothing bathtub and shower combo, with all the conveniences of home provided, including towels, hair dryer, soaps and shampoos. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a big meal or just whip up something quick - several pots and pans, both plastic and glass drinkware, glass storage ware, utensils, Fiestaware dishes, mixer, and more.

Cool off inside after a day of adventure or unwind on the back deck or by the firepit in the evening, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and peaceful sounds of nature. Whether you’re gathering with family or friends, this cozy cabin offers a comfortable and relaxing retreat. Perfect for two couples or a larger family! We invite you to experience the beauty and magic of Nolin Lake at the Schuster Summer Shack. Though new to VRBO, we've been hosting families for the last two summers to rave reviews, and are now ready to open our home up to even more families!

My husband and I are from Louisville, KY and enjoy traveling, food adventures and spending time with our teenage son. My husband is a firefighter, and I recently retired from 20+ years in PR and communications in corporate America. Now I have a small side business and stay home to care for our son. We love entertaining and hosting guests, and being surrounded by friends is one of our favorite things, so opening up our lake property to other families through VRBO is a perfect fit for our family.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved being on the lake and spending time outdoors in the summer. We bought this little cabin - what we call our little slice of heaven - in 2018 and spent two years completely remodeling it and making it our own. We love the neighbors, the location, the easy access to the lake with the boat ramp right down the road and the peace and quiet of the country living found here in Clarkson.

What makes this property unique

While our cabin is a smaller property, it is a wonderful use of space. It easily accommodates six (or more!) people. When our son was young, we would often have three couples staying with 4-5 kids on air mattresses and couches on summer weekends! We never really felt crowded because we had so much wonderful outdoor space to utilize. We have also taken great care in choosing just the right furnishings, amenities, bedding and decor to ensure a comfortable, relaxing environment that feels cozy and just like life at the lake should. Never stuffy, always inviting!
