About the host
Hosted by Jackie Redmon
I truly enjoy hospitality and creating a tranquil, peaceful place where guests can relax, unwind, and enjoy all that our community has to offer. It brings me great joy to hear guests describe their stay as relaxing, peaceful, and even a little like a sanctuary. I love sharing the beauty of Center Hill Lake, the Caney Fork River, and the surrounding nature, and I hope each guest leaves feeling refreshed and grateful for their time here.
Why they chose this property
I didn’t really choose this property—the property chose me. It has been part of my family since the 1940s, and after the passing of a family member, I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase it and carry on its legacy. I’m grateful to share this special place with my extended family and with guests, while hopefully making it my retirement home one day. Geneva’s Bluff is special to me because this land has been part of my family’s story for generations. My great-grandmother, Sarah Geneva Boyd, purchased this land in the 1940s and raised her nine children here. She was blessed to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoy this special place as well.
My mother was born in this house, and some of my fondest memories were made here—visiting my great-grandmother, playing in the river, and spending time with my cousins. For me, Geneva’s Bluff is more than a cabin; it is a place filled with family, memories, history, and love. I’m honored to share a little piece of that history with our guests.
What makes this property unique
Geneva’s Bluff is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, hikers, fishermen, and anyone who enjoys being on the water. Situated along the beautiful Caney Fork River, the cabin is less than five miles from Center Hill Dam and Center Hill Lake and just four miles from Edgar Evans State Park. Two marinas—Edgar Evans Marina and Center Hill Lake Marina—are within a five-minute drive.
Conveniently located less than a mile from the interstate, Geneva’s Bluff offers easy access while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. Within about 20 miles, guests can explore Burgess Falls State Park, Window Cliffs Falls, and Cummins Falls, along with hiking, fishing, boating, and other outdoor adventures.
Beyond nature, guests can experience the rich Southern culture and history of the area, including historic Granville, Cookeville, and Smithville, as well as local events such as the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree. Geneva’s Bluff truly offers a little bit of everything—nature, adventure, history, and Southern charm.
