About this property

Furubekk • Nordic Spa RV • Pool • Sauna • Hot Tub • Ottawa

POOL CLOSED 2026
Swim, soak, sauna, grill, and unwind at your private spa RV retreat near Ottawa

Set on our farm, Furubekk blends a 4-season RV with a Nordic spa experience: wood-fired barrel sauna, hybrid cedar hot tub, seasonal pool, charcoal BBQ, firepit, forest trails, and countryside calm

Inspired by the Nordic ritual of heat, cold, and rest, warm up in the sauna or hot tub, cool down in the pool, then relax under the trees. A nature escape for families, couples, and groups looking to slow down in comfort

⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

This is a self-guided, nature-based glamping stay in a real RV, blending modern comfort with the hands-on character of camping. Some RV systems work differently from those in a hotel or resort and require more mindful use.

Wood- and charcoal-burning amenities are guest-operated, so guests should be comfortable lighting and managing them. We are always happy to help when needed.

Optional add-ons let guests customize their stay and pay only for the extras they choose. All options and prices are listed below.

📍 PROPERTY LAYOUT & SUPPORT

The campsite and its listed amenities are private to your reservation. However, there are other campsites elsewhere on the property, and the wider farm is not exclusively reserved for one booking.

Our family lives on the property, so help is nearby when needed. We may occasionally require brief access to the outdoor area for pool, hot-tub, or property maintenance, normally after notifying you.

Please see our other listings if you are booking for a larger group or would like to compare campsite locations and amenities.

🛏️ Sleeping arrangement

1–2 guests: Queen bed in private bedroom
3–4 guests: Upper bunk in living room (limited headroom; dining table still usable)
5–6 guests: Convertible sofa bed in living room (dining table not accessible in this setup)

Beds are prepared according to the number of guests included in the reservation. Beds not required for the booked guest count remain inaccessible.

This is an RV, so the interior is more compact than a house or hotel room. It can accommodate six guests, but it will feel tighter at full occupancy. Please review the sleeping-setup photos carefully before booking.

🔥 FIREWOOD & CHARCOAL AMENITIES

The sauna, firepit, charcoal BBQ, and optional hot-tub wood boost are hands-on, guest-operated amenities. The sauna is not preheated and requires time to warm up, while the hot tub’s base heating is available 24/7 without using the wood boost.

Firewood, charcoal, and starters are not included unless purchased separately. Add-ons provide supplies only, although we are always happy to assist when needed.

Support nearby: our family lives on the property, so help is nearby if needed, while the stay itself is designed to feel quiet, self-guided, and relaxed.

Nearby nature & water access

Mississippi River & Mississippi Lake: paddling, boating, fishing; multiple public launches within 10–20 minutes

Mill of Kintail Conservation Area: forest trails, museum grounds (near Almonte)

Pakenham Five-Span Stone Bridge & beaches along the river (great day trip)

Local farms, markets, and seasonal festivals throughout the Ottawa Valley

A car is recommended. Ottawa, Almonte, and Carleton Place are all an easy drive. Cyclists will love the quiet country roads, and paddlers can reach river/lake launches in minutes.

What to Expect:

🦟 Nature is Part of the Experience:
This is a rural campsite in the woods, seasonal insects such as ladybugs and flies, pollen, mud, leaves, wildlife, and changing weather are normal parts of the experience.

We clean carefully, but a nature-based campsite cannot provide the completely controlled environment of a hotel or indoor resort.

🕒 Check-In & Check-Out
The campsite and amenities require significant time to clean and reset. Standard early check-in and late checkout are not available.

👥Registered guests only:
Only guests on the reservation may check in or stay overnight.

🛏️ Additional Bed Setup:
If use of an additional bed is needed, the reservation must be updated to the corresponding guest count. We encourage guests to notify us in advance so the bed can be prepared and ready before arrival.

🐾 Pet Policy
Pets are welcome by pre-approval only. Every pet must be disclosed, approved, and accurately included in the reservation before arrival.

Bringing additional or undisclosed pets violates the pet policy and may result in additional charges, delayed check-in, or declined check-in.

🏊 Outdoor Amenities
The pool and hot tub are cleaned and prepared before check-in. Because they are outdoors, rain, wind, normal use, and the surrounding natural ground may introduce leaves, pollen, insects, sand, or other natural debris during the stay.

For longer stays or after severe weather, we may contact guests to arrange brief maintenance access.

⚠️Nature & Outdoor Risk Notice:
This is a rural, nature-based glamping stay on a forest farm. As with any camping or outdoor experience, the property and its amenities involve inherent risks that are greater than those in a typical indoor, controlled environment. By booking and staying here, guests acknowledge these natural outdoor risks and agree to use the property, grounds, and amenities with caution.

❄️ Winter Water
In winter (Dec-Mar), the RV runs on a fresh water tank.
For multi-night stays, we can refill during the day.

The Stardew Farms glamping experience was great! Having access to a hot tub, sauna and pool on our site was very much appreciated and well used. The camper had everything you would need and was cozy to sleep in.Tammy was a very responsive host and quickly assisted in any needs we had.

Had a great weekend getaway! Tammy was very responsive and able to help with anything that came up very promptly I can say I was there on a very cold weekend and the trailer was comfortable, as recommended slippers are helpful

Such a gem! This quiet, private spot—just 15 minutes from town—is exactly as described. Mornings were peaceful, with only owls in the distance. The hot tub and fire pit were highlights (bring or purchase wood, bring robes, and extra towels—it’s worth it in any weather). The RV stayed warm and comfortable—just bring indoor footwear. The kitchen has the basics (not gourmet, but functional), and the bathroom and bedroom were perfectly fine. We were glad we brought our own (firm) pillows. The owners were kind and welcoming, even helping us get our fires started, and they plowed promptly after snowfall. A perfect getaway spot with great Wi-Fi if you need it. Highly recommend!

This is quintessential glamping without false advertising! What you see in the pictures and in the descriptions is EXACTLY what you get. It's private and the amenities are perfect for either a family or couple looking to get away. It rained two of the days we were there and the hot tub and sauna were AMAZING. Tammy was an exceptional host and provided PERFECT instructions all along the way. Even adjusting the thermostat was amazing with the AI concierge service (wave of the future!). The site is about 200 yards from the main house and they have planted cedars to eventually make it more private. It is super quiet and feels secluded. Breathtaking view of the stars and NO road or highway noise. Definitely going back and would HIGHLY recommend.

The location and set up was perfect for a relaxing hideaway, close enough to drive to other amenities if wanted (water activities, sightseeing or restaurants). The addition of a new sauna to the hot tub and swimming will be great for the cooler months. The RV has everything you need for cooking, perfect size for 2-4 pers. The prices for additional items such as charcoal was very reasonable and the host were very accommodating with any additional needs. Recommend you ask for a quick overview of switches and processes if not familiar with RV life. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing trip. Would recommend and e en stay again.
