Welcome to Hawks Hideaway - your own private waterfront retreat on beautiful Lay Lake! Great for family gatherings, weekend getaways, fishing tournaments, holidays by the lake - you name it!
Hawks Hideaway offers plenty of room for your group to spread out while still providing comfortable and cozy spaces to gather together. With 3 bedrooms, 11 people can sleep comfortably (and we offer air mattress options if needed/requested). Three full bathrooms means less time waiting around when the whole group is getting ready for the day, or night!
This elevated lake house is everything you need for an unforgettable lake getaway. With beautiful views all around the property - especially from the new hot tub - direct waterfront access, a private dock, covered two-slip boathouse, multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces with smart TVs, Adirondaks around a gas fire pit on a huge top deck, gorgeous lake views, and ALL the comforts of home: it’s the perfect destination for your entire group!
THE SPACES
*THE MAIN LEVEL features 2 of the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms, along with multiple gathering spaces (indoor + outdoor), and an open kitchen, dining, and living area designed for entertaining.
Prepare meals and host in the updated kitchen with all new appliances, and gather to dine inside or outside together at one of four dining areas available.
Unwind in the large living room around 3 different Smart TVs and a custom-built bar with beverage fridge (BYOB), storage, and large counter - perfect for Saturday and Sunday game days, holidays, and all the other lake days!
The living room and sunroom are great places to unwind + recharge, or gear up for big game days and root on your favorite team! Make this entire experience everything you want it to be!

Hawks Hideaway sits directly on Lay Lake with over 90 feet of waterfront access and seawall, giving you and your group space to experience one of Alabama’s favorite recreational lakes. Dockside access for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, or just floating around off the dock!
Bring your fishing gear, spend the afternoon on the water, or simply hang out and enjoy lake life, sights and sounds. Don't forget your binoculars - the egrets, herons, eagles, and osprey are amazing to watch!
In the evening, settle into the warm and bubbly hot tub as your favorite teams play or favorite show airs on the outdoor SmartTV, and take in the lake with a night-view that beats all others! The patio dining space and Blackstone griddle are just several feet away on the terrace. We're a lake-loving family who loves this area of Lay Lake! We went to college together at Huntingdon College in Montgomery and now live in Atlanta with our son, Woods. It's 2.5 - 3 hours from Atlanta - just far enough to feel like you're really away. And only 45 minutes from Birmingham,

Enjoy brand new a 5-7 person hot tub on a beautiful patio with a Blackstone griddle, dining area, and the best lake views - morning, noon, and night! Need room to space out? There's a private dock at the lake w/ two boat slips, and also a huge top deck at the house that can sit 8 in the Adirondack chairs around the gas fire pit and a 2-person pub table - all just off the glassed-in sun room that sits 6 with a four person dining table and a couple's sitting area overlooking the lake.
