The “Am Sieltor” building in Bensersiel, featuring six holiday apartments, is a high-quality, well-equipped, and beautifully designed holiday complex built in 2011, located just under 100 metres from the North Sea dike. You’ll find the house on “Kajedeich” in the heart of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel, right on the “Benser Tief.” Bensersiel is situated directly on the unique natural wonder that is the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.

The “Am Sieltor” house in Bensersiel is a new construction; all six holiday apartments are state-of-the-art, bright, modern, and cosy—completely redesigned, furnished, and equipped. The holiday apartments, which accommodate up to 4 or up to 6 people, range in size from approximately 85 to 70 square metres. All apartments feature a terrace, a balcony, or a balcony-terrace.

From the “Am Sieltor” house, you can easily reach all the attractions Bensersiel has to offer within a few minutes on foot: the beach, the harbour, or the “Nordseetherme” water park, a modern, heated fun and leisure pool. The therapy centre (including all spa facilities) as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness centre are also located there. The harbour and the tourist beach facilities are also very close by.

There you’ll find the beach itself, complete with an adventure playground and the “Kunterbunt” children’s playhouse, as well as the new beach entrance featuring “Bennis Adventure Land” – a covered beach area for children with internet access for surfing on colder winter days. You’ll also find the seawater outdoor pool, the maritime sports theme park, the circus tent for children and various events, as well as many more ideas for your holiday right here around the beach.

From the “Am Sieltor” house in Bensersiel, you can set out on beautiful bike tours inland through the marshes, across meadows and fields that border directly on our street.

For shopping, morning rolls, a nice meal, or a delicious cup of coffee or tea, you’ll find a wide selection of stores, restaurants, cafés, and cosy seaside pubs right nearby. For example, there’s a supermarket, a bakery, several charming shops, and multiple dining options just about 100 metres away in and along the covered shopping and dining arcade “Deichpassage” in the “Nordseegartenpark” holiday centre.

Whether you’re here on holiday or for a health retreat, you’re in good hands here in Bensersiel. Very close to Bensersiel lies Esens, the “parlour” of the Harlingerland region. You can reach Esens by car in about five minutes. Even better, hop on a bike and take the “back route” through the marshlands via the “Hammerweg” or along the idyllic “Kajedeich” by the “Benser Tief.” Wonderful tours await you.

The great offerings in Bensersiel are complemented in Esens by this over 475-year-old knight’s town with its historically developed town centre. Here in Esens, there are plenty of events—both small and large—as well as museums, restaurants, and shopping options. Your children should definitely visit the “Klabautermann” indoor play park, where they’re sure to have a great time. The “Klabautermann” is a large hall full of ideas for playing and running around.

In general, our region is ideal for long walks, bike rides, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing holiday on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
