This beautiful wooden house is located right on the fjord near Bjordal, offering a stunning panoramic view of the Sognefjord. This holiday rental serves as a great starting point for exploring many attractions in the Sogn-og Fjordane region and in Hordaland. Fjordhytte-16 is the yellow house; the red house next door is listed as Fjordhytte-23. Enjoy a wonderful holiday in this waterfront holiday home. Built in a typical Nordic architectural style, the interior features plenty of wood, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere.

The open-concept kitchen in this holiday rental flows seamlessly into the dining area, providing ample space for all guests. There are 2 bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower. Some of the interior photos are from the neighbouring house, which is identical in construction. The photos differ slightly in detail.

The mighty Sognefjord is one of Norway’s most famous fjords and offers many beautiful viewpoints of the fjord and the mountains. A visit to Jotunheimen National Park, where you can enjoy long hikes and stunning views of nature, is definitely worth your while.

There are also several hiking opportunities near this holiday rental, such as Stølsheimen National Park near Ortnevik, which is about a 5-minute drive away. The owner of the holiday home will be happy to provide you with information on other places to visit.

A day trip to Bergen by speedboat or car is also recommended.

Fishing

The owner of the holiday home is an angler himself and can provide you with information about good fishing spots in the Sognefjord. Fishing in the fjord is free for everyone, and no fishing licence is required. In the immediate vicinity of the holiday home, you can catch the following fish: pollock, hake, mackerel, tusk, and ling, to name just a few. In Ortnevik, about 10 km from the holiday home, there is a river where salmon run.

Fishing regulations for recreational fishing: This holiday home, FH-16, and the neighbouring homes FH-17 and FH-23 are registered as specialised tourism fishing operations; therefore, as a guest at these holiday properties, you are permitted to export fish from Norway. To do so, you’ll need a confirmation from the owner, which you should request immediately upon arrival.
