About this property

Lake Tillery Main Channel | Dock + Boat Slip

Wake up to big-water views and spend your days right on Lake Tillery.

DockED at Tillery is a spacious 3,000+ sq. ft. main-channel waterfront retreat with a private covered dock, guest boat slip and room for up to 12 guests. Designed for families and groups who want to spend time on the water—and together—it's the kind of place where the lake becomes the center of your stay.

Bring the boat or just show up ready for lake time. Paddle the kayaks, swim from the dock, float on the lily pad, fish from the private pier or claim a chair by the water and do absolutely nothing. With lake views throughout the main living spaces and plenty of room to gather inside and out, DockED makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile.

THE SPACE

The bright, open main level keeps the lake front and center. Big windows frame the water whether you're making breakfast, gathering around the table or relaxing on the couch after a day outside.

The fully equipped kitchen opens to the living and dining areas and features a large island with seating for 3. The dining table seats 10, giving your group plenty of room for family dinners, games and slow mornings over coffee.

The spacious living room offers plenty of comfortable seating, a large TV and stone fireplace. There's also a dedicated workspace overlooking the water if you need to sneak in a little work between lake days—and we've definitely had worse office views.

Upstairs, a second living area gives everyone even more room to spread out, with another TV, games and ping pong. It's especially nice when the kids want their own space while the adults relax downstairs.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

DockED sleeps up to 12 guests:

Primary Suite — King bed + queen sleeper sofa

Bedroom 2 — Queen bed

Bedroom 3 — Full bed

Bunk room — Full-over-full bunk bed

The primary suite feels like a retreat of its own, with plenty of natural light, lake views and a separate sitting area.

The home also has three full bathrooms—which you'll appreciate when you're traveling with a full house!

YOUR PRIVATE LAKE TILLERY WATERFRONT

This is where DockED really shines.

Step outside and head down to your own private waterfront on Lake Tillery. The covered dock isn't simply a place to park the boat—it's one of our favorite places on the property.

Settle into a chair by the water, relax in the hammock swing, fish from the pier, jump in for a swim or sit back and take in the big-water views.

We've stocked DockED with some of our favorite lake-day essentials:

• Private covered dock

• Designated guest boat slip

• Kayaks

• Floating lily pad

• Life jackets

• Fishing poles

• Swim ladder

You can paddle in the morning, spend the afternoon swimming or boating and wind down at the dock without ever getting in the car.

That's our kind of lake vacation.

BRING YOUR BOAT

Lake Tillery is even better when you can get out and explore it.

BRINGING YOUR BOAT?

The nearby Stony Mountain Boating Access Area (22682-A Lake Tillery Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001) provides public boat-launch access to Lake Tillery. Launch your boat there, cruise over to DockED and keep it in our designated guest slip throughout your stay. Boat and trailer parking is also available at the property, making it easy to bring your own boat and enjoy the lake all weekend.

Spend the day cruising, fishing or exploring the lake, then pull back into your own slip and head up to the house for dinner.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The lake experience doesn't end when you get out of the water.

Start the morning with coffee overlooking the lake, grill dinner outside and finish the evening gathered around the lakeside firepit in the Adirondack chairs making s'mores and swapping stories.

Outdoor spaces extend from the house to the patio, yard, firepit and waterfront, giving your group plenty of places to spread out while still enjoying the trip together.

MORE THAN A SUMMER LAKE HOUSE

DockED was made for summer days on the water, but Lake Tillery is worth escaping to year-round.

Plan a family lake vacation, multi-generational getaway, boating or fishing weekend, girls' trip, fall escape or holiday gathering. The separate living spaces, bunkhouse and room for up to 12 make it easy to bring everyone together without feeling like you're on top of each other.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Maximum occupancy: 12 guests

• Parking for up to 4 vehicles

• Additional boat/trailer parking at the top of the property

• Private guest boat slip

• Wi-Fi

• Multiple TVs

• Washer and dryer

• Fully equipped kitchen

• Three full bathrooms

• Separate bunkhouse

• Grill

• Firepit

• Kayaks and lake-day gear provided

DockED is a multi-level lake property with stairs inside the home and steps leading down to the waterfront. It is not wheelchair accessible.

The waterfront is open lake water with no lifeguard, and the water is deep off the pier. Children and non-swimmers should be supervised at all times and wear life jackets near and in the water.

For the safety and security of the property, exterior security cameras are located at the front entrance and dock area. Cameras monitor exterior areas only and do not view any interior spaces.

YOUR LAKE TILLERY GETAWAY

Maybe your perfect lake day starts with an early-morning paddle. Maybe it's taking the boat out all afternoon, watching the kids jump off the dock, fishing as the sun comes up or doing absolutely nothing with a drink in your hand and the lake in front of you.

Then everyone comes back together for dinner, s'mores around the fire and another day to do it all again.

That's what we love about DockED.

Come for the lake. Stay for the memories. Welcome to DockED at Tillery.

DockED at Tillery is our family’s little piece of lake life. We’re a family of five who loves being together, traveling and spending time on the water. After creating BeachED, our beach getaway in Ocean Isle Beach, we knew we wanted a place where we could make the same kind of memories closer to home -- and DockED was born. We personally manage both of our vacation homes and put a lot of thought into the little things that make traveling with family easier and more fun. As parents of three kids, we know a great family vacation needs a little bit of everything; places to gather, things for the kids to do, comfortable spaces to spread out and, occasionally, a quiet corner for Mom and Dad! At DockED, that means everything from kayaks and fishing poles to games, ping pong, plenty of comfortable gathering spaces and quiet spots where you can sneak away with a cup of coffee and enjoy the lake. We genuinely want our guests to feel at home here. We hope you’ll make some amazing memories at DockED and leave already talking about when you can come back.

Why they chose this property

We knew pretty quickly that this was the one. What first got us was the water. Lake Tillery is right there, not somewhere you can barely see in the distance. You see it from the kitchen, dining room, living room, workspace and primary suite, and so much of life at the house naturally revolves around it. But what really made us fall in love with the property was how many different ways there are to enjoy being together. There’s room for everyone around the dining table, a big open living space for hanging out, another living area with games and ping pong, and plenty of outdoor spaces when everyone needs to spread out. Then there’s the waterfront—our favorite part. The covered dock is more than somewhere to park a boat. You can launch a kayak, fish from the pier, swim, relax in the hammock swing, sit by the water or bring your own boat and head out for the day. Back at the house, the lakeside firepit has become one of our favorite places to end an evening. We also loved that DockED could grow with our family. With three kids, we wanted a place they would be just as excited to visit as we are—a place for weekends now, holidays and summer vacations, and hopefully one day a place they’ll bring their own families. That’s really what DockED is about for us. It isn’t just a rental property. It’s our family’s lake house, and when we aren’t using it, we get to share it with other families who want to slow down, get outside and spend some really good time together. We hope it becomes one of those places your family asks to come back to, too.
