Country Home, Beautiful acreage, large creek

The perfect Northern California location for a romantic weekend or relaxing escape for family or friends. Lovely cottage in a picturesque country setting located in a convenient location at the base of the Sierra foothills only 2 miles from the town of Lincoln, Situated 7 miles from Interstate 80 between Lake Tahoe and San Francisco.
There are many equestrian and biking trails nearby. Visitors wanting to soak up Gold Rush history will enjoy a visit to nearby Auburn approximately 20 minutes by car. In addition, you may like to stroll around the property viewing the many Maidu Indian grinding rocks, pestles and Native American fertility rock.
Two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sleeping loft will accommodate 8 people max . The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare your meals. Towels and linens are provided. There is a sun-room with a cozy outdoor area equipped with a propane barbecue. A favorite activity of visitors is relaxing on the grassy private beach near the river and enjoying the built in fire pit (wood is provided for an additional charge).

***We have satellite internet. It is slower than most are used to, so we like to make sure guests are aware!

Our small family loved our stay -- wandering through the creek, watching the goats grazing on the other side, roasting marshmallows over the fire, and enjoying the tree swing.

Such a fantastic retreat at an amazing property. From the babbling creek, lush gardens, cute styling of the bungalow (with a pellet stove and home made banana bread to boot), I would stay again in a heartbeat! WE LOVED our time here.

My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have two kids. We relocated to Lincoln from the Bay Area. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to continue to share it with others!

Why they chose this property

This property is just a treasure. Was once the site of a Maidu native American village. We feel like we are in a remote location...but in reality we are close to so much. Many large oak trees with rolling hills. Guests enjoy hanging out at the river beach to cool off and enjoy the tranquil setting.

What makes this property unique

Our property in Lincoln California is about 6 acres and consists of moss covered rock outcroppings, oak trees, and redwoods. There is several fire pit spots, to relax and be with family and friends. We have a pretty large creek that runs along the property. We encourage guest to pull up and chair and cool off, swim, or fish! There is a porch off the house with a bbq grill and dinning area with a view! Down by the creek is another large fire pit, a perfect gathering spot! The property owners live in the main home not far from guest house, and are full time.
