Gmachje - a cozy Tiny House in Findeln with ski-in/ski-out access

High above Zermatt, in the idyllic hamlet of Findeln, lies the Gmachje—a cosy tiny house that blends perfectly into the picturesque Alpine landscape. This extraordinary accommodation, with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, offers direct ski-in/ski-out access in winter and is the ideal retreat for anyone seeking peace, nature, and unspoiled beauty.

In summer, the Gmachje is the ideal starting point for unforgettable hikes through Zermatt’s breathtaking mountain landscape. The surrounding nature offers a wealth of hiking trails and beautiful mountain lakes perfect for swimming. Surrounded by mountains and crisp mountain air, the Gmachje invites you to escape the daily grind and let your mind wander.

Designed with great attention to detail across three floors, the Gmachje offers a unique retreat in the heart of nature.
On the top floor is the cosy sleeping area with a comfortable double bed. An open loft leads to three additional sleeping spots, accessible via a charming wooden ladder. On this floor, you’ll also find the bathroom and shower, as well as practical storage space.
On the middle floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with a cosy seating area—ideal for cooking together and relaxing. The kitchen features a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine, complete with capsules. If you’d rather treat yourself to a meal at a restaurant, you won’t have to go far: there are excellent mountain restaurants in the immediate vicinity that are open during the cable cars’ operating hours.

The lowest level features a cosy living lounge with a fireplace—the perfect place to unwind after an active day in the mountains. A TV provides entertainment, and you’ll find Sonos speakers on every floor for perfect sound. Of course, Wi-Fi is also available so you can stay connected to the world at all times.

In the summer or on warmer winter days, the terrace in front of the Gmachje invites you to linger. Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic Matterhorn and the surrounding Alps. A stone seating area, a grill, a parasol, and two comfortable lounge chairs are provided so you can enjoy the sun to the fullest.

In winter, we offer a luggage service: Your luggage will be brought directly to the Gmachje after the slopes close, and on your departure, we’ll pick it up before the slopes open, after which it’ll be ready for pickup at the Sunnegga valley station.
