From here, you can set out on a bike tour through North Holland on the excellently maintained bike paths—which are separated from car traffic—and go exploring.
You can also take a lovely long walk along the dike by the Wadden Sea, breathing in the fresh air and feeling the sea breeze on your face, while enjoying the wonderful natural spectacle of the tides and observing the breathtaking birdlife.
The Amstelmeer, featuring a children’s playground on the sandy beach, swimming, and plenty of water sports opportunities, is 600 metres away.
The North Sea’s beautiful dune-lined sandy beaches are just a 12-minute drive away.
Many excursion options are available nearby, such as mudflat hikes, shrimp fishing trips by cutter and visits to see the seals, a zoo, a ferry ride to the island of Texel, a visit to the world-famous cheese market in Alkmaar, the North Sea Aquarium, the Maritime Museum, indoor and outdoor play areas for children, bike rentals, and much more.
