Beautiful country house with a wonderful garden, including a sauna

Enjoy the view across the perennial garden and out over the field—an ideal house for relaxing, complete with a sauna.

This single-story holiday home features a large living room with a dining area and an open kitchen. From the living room, you can look out onto the perennial garden with its pavilion.

The house has a cosy atmosphere and is lovingly furnished—a perfect place to feel at home and have a wonderful time.

The bedroom features a large double bed/box spring and a very spacious closet.

The Mediterranean-style bathroom features a shower with wide-opening glass doors. There is only a small threshold on the floor.

In the garden, you’ll find a gazebo and a panoramic outdoor sauna with a view of the idyllic perennial garden. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful garden atmosphere with a view across the fields.

Right next to the house, beautiful hiking trails begin, leading past streams and fields. Here you can enjoy wonderful walks or bike rides.

A spacious swimming lake is within walking distance—about a 2-minute walk (non-swimmer section available; free to use). An even larger swimming lake is just under 2 km away.

Also within walking distance, you’ll find a small restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a mini-golf course.

In the neighbouring Seepark, just a few minutes’ walk away, a small, heated indoor swimming pool (approx. 9 x 4 m) including a Finnish sauna can be booked on-site. The holiday home itself does not have its own pool.

The nearest supermarkets are located about 2 or 3 km away in the town of Walchum, each with a bakery. Larger towns with bigger supermarkets, about 10 km away, include Dörpen, Haren, and Lathen.

A wide variety of excursion options in the surrounding area: Papenburg (the “Little Venice of the North”), the sophisticated town of Leer, a short drive to the coast (about 110 km), the Papenburg mega-shipyard, various amusement parks, and many swimming lakes. It’s less than 10 km to the Netherlands. For cyclists, the region is a true paradise.

Upon your arrival, the beds will be made, and one large and one small towel will be provided for each booked guest; plus two tea towels are included in the linen package. Each booking also includes a linen package.

Group gatherings and parties are not permitted.

Note regarding the sauna: Due to increased energy costs, the garden sauna is not included. A small, manageable fee may apply on-site. We appreciate your understanding.

Up to 2 dogs may be accommodated at this holiday home. You can include them in your booking during the reservation process; otherwise, a fee will apply later.
