Everything about this rental was so easy, convienant and hasslefree. Entire stay felt like ours. Outstanding communication with owner and the house keeper. Will rent again soon
Loved the unique house with lots of amazing views and spots to relax and enjoy them. It was our first trip traveling with newborn and the check in process was smooth, the house was good temperature and we could adjust by just opening and closing windows.

We went on our yearly grand mother/daughter weekend and could not have been happier with the house. Great location beautiful inside and out. We would definitely return.

Nice place. Quiet location. Could use some updated furniture for relaxing. Very bright bedrooms from morning sun pack eye covers to sleep in. Hot tub and sauna a bonus.
The house was clean and easily accessible. We were a stones throw from the beach and the house had a hot tub, jacuzzi tub and all of the amenities needed for a home away from home.

Eclectic Remote Property
The outdoor picture is a Photo Shop renduring. The interior architecture has so much potential--very Eastern Indian eclectic decorating. It was comfortable for the purpose of the trip. The hot tub was great. Short walk to the beach.I was under the impression that the property was closer to Olympic NP than it was.

Sequim Wedding
The house itself was interesting, in that the decor was different, but it could have been cleaner. We were disturbed several times (once early in the morning) with some sort of an outside alarm going off. The first time it went off, we were lucky that the neighbor was home and figured out how to shut it off.

Nice location
The location is nice , the pictures online are deceiving, the outside is very rundown and overgrown. The pots and pans need replacing, some are rusty. The septic system is obnoxious with its beeping and requires you to hit the switch even in the middle of the night. The bbq grate was rusty and questionable to use. Will not stay here again unfortunately.
Spacious, quiet, and eclectic are the first three words that come to mind when describing “Gulmarg”, this beautiful home near the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It was the perfect size (2 bedroom/2 bath) for my husband and I to host our friends, one couple at a time. The house also boasts a library, living and dining rooms, a well-stocked kitchen and stunningly gorgeous outdoor space with an abundance of trees, shrubs and flowers. Each room has unique tile, wood, and other rich furnishings. After spending our days exploring the area on bike or by foot, whether on local roads or the Olympic Discovery Trail, we enjoyed returning to the house and climbing in the hot tub. We spent most evenings grilling fresh seafood on the quiet, tranquil back deck. Highly recommend!

Not family friendly
Sad to say this location was a mistake for my family. First impression was quite impressed by the look, although disappointed by the uncomfortable furnishings. Black ants immediately attacked our food in the kitchen. The hot tub water was dirty and smelled odd. They provided a dog bed for my service dog then complained about dog hair. They said the house reeked of smoke. This is impossible because my 3 grand babies were there and no one smoked around them. Oh, almost forgot, the septic system overflowed in the front yard, Gross and unexpected. And they still want extra money for cleaning fee. Would not recommend this property.

This is a response to the review by your guest Roxanne Sewell (5-8 April 2022) posted on 20 April 22. She is obviously responding to our mail to her sent on 13 April 22 in which we brought to her notice the following points
1. After paying for her booking on 11 March she asked if she could bring her dog. We replied saying yes but the cleaning charges would be $ 40 extra which she could leave on the dining table before departure. She did not leave this money on departure.
2. Her booking was for 4 adults only . Our house keeper found evidence of many more whether "grand babies" or not.
3. We informed her that there were cigarettes and ash scattered all around and the house was reeking of smoke.
4. Dog hair is obviously expected on the dog bed we provided but the dog hair was all over other furniture as well. The furniture had also been moved around making things difficult for a single lady to put back.
This is the only guest in our 10 years of running the vacation rental that we would not rent to again.

Beautiful and Unique Sequim House
I took my mom to Sequim for a long weekend last spring and I'm so glad that I chose the Gulmarg property for our stay. The house is a one-of-a-kind beauty: the combination of its unique architecture and well executed theme of Indian interior decor makes the house unique and unlike any other vacation rental that I've stayed in. It is very spacious, well maintained, and comfortable; we immediately felt at home.
I really loved the owner's clear attention to details and how each room was well appointed and tastefully colorful. I'd find myself wandering around the house just to take it all in. I was especially a fan of the atrium and spiral staircase area. There were plenty of places to sit throughout the home to enjoy the views and natural light from all of the different windows. You can savor the water views from upstairs. Also, the kitchen had all the amenities and counter space needed to cook a proper meal.
Beyond the interior, the house has beautiful landscaping around it and the large front yard is surprising private because of the surrounding bushes and trees. The house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood and it’s a short drive from the main part of town.
I look forward to staying at the house again the next time I go to Sequim. If you plan to visit the Sequim area, then I highly recommend staying at the Gulmarg property.

Absolutely beautiful home!
This property was absolutely amazing! From the gorgeous and intricate interior decor, to the thoughtfulness the owner put into making sure everything we could possibly need, from cookbooks, to maps, to brochures on nearby activities. Everything you could possibly need to prepare any type of meal was there. We loved that there was a fresh coffee press and grinder and my children were very excited about the waffle iron. They even had spices (which can easily be forgotten) which to our delight most were organic. The master jetted bath was lovely and we enjoyed relaxing with the candles the owner had decorating the area. There was plenty of space for me to get some alone time to just sit back, relax, and get away. The hot tub outside, spa, and outdoor shower were amazing. We spent every evening just relaxing outside gazing at the stars and listening to the frogs. The beach nearby was very easy to get to and was nice and shallow by the shoreline which was great for children. There wasn’t a lot of people so it was like we had a whole world all to ourselves. There’s lots of hiking and beaches and restaurants nearby. There were tons of channels available to watch and the the WiFi worked well. We wish we could have stayed longer! Mina was extremely friendly and accommodating. She was exceptionally timely in her responses to us, which was very much appreciated. I cannot day enough about her hospitality or her wonderful property. Everything was nice and clean. Not a single speck of dirt in the entire home. There was plenty of fresh linens and a washer and dryer and even laundry soap and dryer sheets. Everything you could possibly think you would need was there. We will definitely be coming back. One of the best mini vacations we’ve been on in a very long time!! My only suggestion would be to bring citronella candles. The mosquitos were a bit active at dusk. Which should be expected as there is a gorgeous inlet right off the back porch teaming with wildlife. We even had a hummingbird that got into the home when we first checked in that was quite exciting :) catching it and putting it back outside was extremely fun for my children lol! If you stay here, I promise you will absolutely love it!

This house was roomy yet comfortable with lots of amenities (plenty of kitchen ware and spices, good wifi, hot tub and sauna, washer and dryer, TV, cozy reading spots). The front garden and back deck provide perfect outdoor spaces to relax, eat and chat.
The house and grounds are lovely, clean and well prepared for guests. The walk to the path to the beach was a little long for our kids (5 and 8) but otherwise worked fine. They loved the hot tub!
Such a spectacular home & yard. The house was spotless and had everything you could possibly need for cooking & dining. We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your stunning home. It was the perfect location to explore the Dungeness Spit, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc Hot Springs & Lake Crescent. We will return!
Super nice stay, beautiful building, beautiful landscaping. Very close to the water, 15 minutes from Sequim. there's an local food stand about five minutes up the way. the beach is great to walk on. It isn't on the water, but you can see the water over the next row of houses. I'd stay again.

Why they chose this property
This property is uniquely located with a view of snow clad mountains, Puget Sound, and a canal with ducks and ducklings gliding across. In the last 10 years this area in particular has been developed as a birding habitat. From inside the house and outside you can see birds of prey - Red Tailed hawk, Falcons American Kestrel and if lucky a Bald Eagle. Mallards Seagulls, and Geese. Many others including a rare treat. A Great Blue Heron feeding 20 feet away in the canal. There is a narrow beach for walking just across the road. Many interesting walks 5-10 minutes drive away.
